there is a lot of youtube content for beginner you can watch it. if you dont want to watch, you can ask personal trainer in ur gym.

i dont think you have to pay that much. usually, if you are gym member there is free trainer you can ask what to do as beginner.

Start off small, don't feel ashamed of using 15 lbs dumbbells or smaller discs, it's better for you to start correctly then try to use heavier stuff and end up with an injury.

Also don't be afraid of asking for help to peeps in the gym, they tend to be very nice in my experience.

  • stretch and warm up before exercising, it'll help with sores :p

  1. DO NOT EGO LIFT! don't feel bad about where you're starting. you'll get to where you want :D

  2. make sure you can maintain a steady diet

  3. be consistent

  4. learn more about different workouts and the correct form

1) What is your goal by starting the gym? Do you just want some form of exercise? Do you want to primarily get bigger or stronger? Maybe a mix of both (like most people that don't want to become athletes). Different workouts are optimal for different things, so it's important to define what you want first.

2) There are 3 main factors that influence progress at the gym:

  • The quality/intensity of the workout;
  • Nutrition;
  • A good night of sleep.
    Slacking in any of the 3 will have a negative impact in your progress.

3) Don't go crazy on the supplements. Whey protein or creatine are enough for beginners (you can buy more just make sure you're not getting all your essential macros/micros from them, they're called food supplements not food substitutes). Also don't buy influencer brands, their products will either be: the average of the market/worse than the market/a scam.

3) Research proper form. I recommend researching videos on every exercise you're going to do, so you know correct form for all of them.

4) There's a LOT of bro science when it comes to fitness youtubers. Make sure to filter out the bullshit ones.

5) Last but no least, first time at the gym can be quite intimidating: you don't know what you're doing and there's a bunch of stronger guys and hot girls around you, so it's normal to not want to "look lost" or look like a beginner, but you'll soon realize that they're not really paying attention to you.

Good luck at the gym bro, this is a journey you will not regret.

If I got any of this wrong feel free to tell and I'll edit it.

remembering the fact that no one's paying attention to me is always really helpful, cause i have terrible body image issues and probably wouldn't ever go to the gym if i thought i was being judged

If u are buying equipment youtube is the best option.
If u are going to gym then prepare your own chart by doing research and taking help of one who goes to gym regularly.. And also dont fall in trainer's scam.

If you're self conscious about how people see you in the gym then you could just buy equipment for home, dumbbells, barbells, resistance bands etc.
For actual training there's an app called fitness & bodybuilding which basically tells you all the exercises you can do to work on specific parts of your body. Or you can just look up the muscles and parts you want to specifically focus and there's ton of info on google about it. Also start with low and then raise the bar. Additionally you can look up stuff on YouTube.

start by lifting light weights and there are tutorials for beginners which will help you a lot
having a gym partner helps a lot plus try to find music that can pump you up to the max

I started learning with tiktok/youtube/google, if you have the money for it you could use a personal trainer, but my best advice is to not focus on how much weight you can do, focus on the proper form and controlling the weight and never ego lift also be sure to get your protein everyday and remember that rest is the key for muscle growth

You need to get your proteins up, im talking about around 100+ gr. You can also take creatine if you want, its totally safe. For the exercise themselves, just go to youtube and look for whatever muscle group you want to train. You dont need a PT, you can just ask people in the gym if you're confused on how to use a machine.

pro tip:

  • if you're scared on getting crushed when doing bench press or any other exercise than can kill you, just use the smith machine.
  • no matter how light your deadlift is, always use belt. You dont want to mess up your lower back no?
  • don't be shy looking up yt videos on how to train a muscle group in the gym.
  • Proper form > super heavy / ego lifts
  • get at least 2-3 days of rest per week, i only do 2 days of rest tho.

  1. Focus on form instead of amt of weight
  2. Be consistent, if u go once a week You'll still have gains, maybe just a bit slow, but if u go like every time u fell like it, you'll never se gains.
  3. Get a gym bro
