idk the team feels like the old envy with mummay. not bad but not the best either
But it aint mummay, its ardiis, top 3 chamber itw lol. He's gonna far, under FNS. Biggest concern is sOm. They really had the chance to have whole optic core+ ardiis, a bit like navi in EMEA.
It was marveds choice to opt out as he didnt want to move to LA but i dont understand why they arent going for other controllers that are better than som

They are definitely looking the strongest in NA along with sen. My only concern is som. I don't think he is good enough for starting 5. It would be ideal if a great smokes player would join then instead. Ardiis is a huge pickup. This is basically a discount optic. Som<<<<marved,ardiis<yay
I might be lost, because i only started watching mid 2021, but Marved on FaZe was already a good controller or he grow as a player with envy/Optic?

He was a good player in faze as well. Obviously he peaked with envy/optic. But he was considered one of the best players even back at faze
Picking up Marved wasn’t really a option as he is unable to move LA. They had the chance to pick up someone like supamen, Moose or Aproto but it seems like they’re going for chemistry which could be a smart move as s0m isn’t as horrible as he is made out and was doing better on the controller role when he was playing it.
I mean he is alright but I don't think he is good enough for franchise especially when there are better players for the same role out there who are not franchised
Honestly it just depends on if ardiis = yay which he is not so both som and ardiis seem like downgrades from original optic roster but they could reach good success if those 2 players perform
A lot depends on ardiis, if he can't perform with this roster then NRG won't go that far. Not doubting ardiis but synergy is a thing that will be lacking for a while.
old optic was 55% yay 15% fns igling 8% victor 7% crashies 12% marved 3% fns gaming, now only 32% of optic remains
i think they will be very good. s0m will come a long way under the best igl itw, ardiis will still be top 3 chamber itw, crachies will still be insane, victor imo isnt the best out there with his role but still insane, fns is the same fns
My main concern is s0m but I will give him benefit of the doubt. Most times controllers don't have the best firepower but I think as a former duelist player s0m will do just fine. Under the leadership of fns and chet his util usuage will also be great.
If Ardis can fit well then they are going to be very scary. Although many people have doubts on s0m, I think he is a good player who never reached his full potential. Also s0m is very flexible and I believe he can fit well in this team.
