RRQ has existed for as long as I have watched esports.
They were good in CS they must be big in other sports as well.
rex regum means king of the kings and qeon is the owner ingame nickname.
i knew it sounds cool but there isnt any deep meaning behind it.
its a massive org in ID and i think its one of the two biggest org in ID (the other one is boom).
most of asian probably knows about them already, but outside asian, you probably never heard of them. unless you're a dota 2 watcher from 2011 and follow every region lol, cause they're always close to qualifying TI

hmm yup, fanbase one of the biggest in SEA, if we count mobile games, organization structure good, big funding, they're actually owned the Indonesia official even organizer for VCT since day 1 of valorant, and in 2022 they're in top 10 most watched team in the world not counting unofficial matches and streamer, if we count those, they would be top 5. apart from the achievement in valorant, rrq is the best from indo, maybe EVOS also on par with RRQ, but feelsbad for Onic and Boom

yup there's one time where RRQ want to participate in Tokopedia weekly tournament, but every team needs to have all of the 4 games (csgo, dota2, ML, and PB) but they didn't have any csgo , so they just bought dispenser, dubstep, and machinegun

Fanbase isn't everything. Financials, the ability to sustain those finances and maintaining the fanbase's interest is ALSO AS IMPORTANT. BOOM has the most PC fanbase? Great! Can they sustain it? Do they have the funds to match? You could make the case that they do deserve it, but come on. RRQ having that much capita makes it more valuable than BOOM.

Probably their risen to popularity has led to gain many fans and also their jersey has been sold out for a short amount of time. Add all up with their prize winning money and the bundle, PRX finance looks good
if they got accepted, means their financials were that good. as simple as that. no way riot let "poor" org to join the franchise bcs this league will cost them tons of money.
while you're on that topic, RRQ pc fanbase is massive also, they can easily attract Indo and PH audience, and not to mention some of the mobile games will watch it also, cause rrq will make an effort to achieve that, do watch party is one of the way.

They might be a bit unknown on the international stage, because they don't have those American games, League, or CSGO. But if you are into Mobile Games, they're the King.
For those who dont know how Big RRQ is in Indo, go watch MPL Indonesia (Mobile Legends Pro League) look at number of concurrent viewers. Raw numbers, they can be as big as G2 or T1 in peak viewers but theyre lagging in global reach so not everyone is familiar with RRQ outside SEA.
True. Me myself is not a fan of the RRQ bcs i didnt follow the scene they're involved into aka the mobile scene. But bcs of this thing, maybe i would consider myself to follow them.
