Yep it's more meaningful for semis , top 4 of the world getting a chance to play bo5 makes sense than top 8 getting a second chance after a second chance ( in groups) .

Me personally, i prefer longer times. Valorant is a fun game where strategies feel so good to watch, more time = more crazy plays that can happen.
Im the opposite, for me groups should be longer. I wanna see different matchups. (I want see other teams play against Loud kkkkkkkk)
