Watching LCQ so far has just made me think phantom is better and to start using it more, Shroud and Nats spray transfers are just too crisp

yeah and you still beat the people who are trying to headshot you while you give them 4-5 bodyshots
its not AS relevant in pro play, but still is. The old sentinels (masters 2) literally used to all use the phantom (except for Tenz who would use a combination of the phantom and the vandal). This team isn't known for the heavy use of strategy and more of their mechanics so.
Old Sentinels was a bad team, won international tournament in the weakest era of Valorant possible
They have been dogshit ever since
Their aiming skills weren't crazy either, it's more of NA and EMEA not being good back then
mechanics doesn't just mean just aiming, it can be movement and other things too
(and i know sentinels hasn't been good since, im not a fan of them)
because he can't aim that's why he prefers phantom aka (vandal for bad aimers)
see it depends on how you take your duels, like:
- when i play viper(main)/controller/sage i play defensively, taking close range fights rather than long range and FOR SHORT/CLOSE RANGE - PHANTOM IS MUCH better as you could have seen ur self in shroud's plays.
- when i play duelist/chamber(which is rare) i take long range duels and hence pick vandal more.
OR (mainly attack sides)
when the entry is to be taken from long side fr. eg in iceboz b main entry, u need vandal definitely and for a site entry i personally use phantom to clear all those close angles.
