DRX could've won if they didn't let the nerves get to them, but one player that i would like to mention is Rb dude went -24 First Death against Optic and he's suppose to be the duelist. I don't know if it's the Nerves or Lan Jitters get to him but man it is Disappointing to see your duelist not do well.

Yeah that's because of how well they played and Tarik even had them on top of his list.
I put them atleast top 8 or 6 in the World because they always seem to choke against actual top teams.

Drx is the weaker team at the end of the day. They shown this in previous events too. It seems like when their strats are all exposed they have problems being flexible and adapting at a team. Don't get me wrong they're insane with their set plays and coordination but they lack the flexibility and adaptability of mid rounds and crumble when pressure is on.

RB has underperfomed at every single international event, no matter what agent or role he plays he coaches on LAN. He's an absolute demon but this team won't be able to be the best in the world when he's playing this poorly on Jett on every map

rb is insane, he just shuts down in the important matches and it's an issue that needs to be addressed eventually

he might need to talk to a sports psychologist or something, it's all mental and nothing to do with his actual skill

Well if you want international results, then you need to be able to solve that issue. He's gotta go if this keeps happening.

easier said than done
team has played with each other for a long time, they'll probably try to work out the issues before making a drastic change

They went to 3rd map OT against optic, the champions of the event. How is that overhype...

i am very confident that if they beat OpTic they definitely make or even win GF because they seemed to be the only major threat to DRX. As long as they have confidence I think these guys could do it.

It's just their inflexibility. Their team comp was always fixed for each map, and they didn't seem to enhance their gameplay throughout the tourny when other teams were successfully doing so. DRX started really strong, but their eventual fall was not that surprising given their lack of growth as a team. Also, I'm not sure if they were trying to hide their strats for Fracture or Breeze, but they should've given these maps a shot. It was always Icebox, Ascent, or Split.

Yeah.. I think losing those close maps against Optic (11-13, 13-15) broke their mental and it showed against Zeta. Even if they had to face Optic again in the Grand Final, I think DRX would've had the advantage since they could ban Optic's best maps (Fracture and Bind), and play Breeze and Haven (their best maps). Unfortunate that DRX had to play Optic so early but what can ya do.

They are really good at Breeze, people just ban it against them.

Again with this adaptation take
They have shown they can adapt
Its when they're not totally stomping their opponent they overheat
Literally RB everytime on jett, he overheated on split
And putting Buzz on astra instead of chamber is jsut a dumb move

So thing is about DRX, when they are on point, they are the most exciting team to watch hands down imo. So of course ppl want to see it against the best, but it doesn't work the same all the time when these players start to get used to it, it tends to go to whoever is on. But DRX arent 'on' as often as the teams that went deeper thats all.

I just think its because of role management and putting players on roles they aren't comfortable with.
RB has great raze, why not put him on Raze,
Buzz wants to take fights and he wins them, he went positive against YAY when he was on jett.
Instead they didnt let RB on raze and buzz on chamber on split
I think that's what made their mental crumble going into game with zeta

nah man its not just that, watch their previous lan performance. The longer the tournament goes on and the more teams start strategizing and getting use to their play style the weaker DRX looks. Their mid rounding single handedly was the reason they lost to optic in the third map. Optic counter a lot of their set plays by picking off their players midround and the crumble.

yeah, is what it is. In the end, they should've closed it out on Icebox for the 2-0, but didn't.

Who tf do you see hyping them up? No Drx fan is going around and saying they'll win it all and smash all the teams. Even still, they took more rounds off Optic and were easily up for title contention so any hype you may have heard was not unjustified either.

Yeah they lost the kid rounds due to Buzz and RB overheating and taking stupid ass fights, Buzz wants to fight and putting him on Astra is a ???? move.
RB had the worst Regional to Masters performance change out of anyone. Look at Ominous' tweet, he was the single reason DRX lost Split and it still went to OT.
If your jett has the worst performance of his lifetime and Astra keeps fighting for no reason and you still manage to take it to OT. That just means you have the strat but the players mental and overheating was what caused the problem.
The way they played around and punished Yay was huge, their comps were shit and was the 2nd reason they lost against Optic, no sentinel on Icebox and when they lost that icebox round where they almost won eco due to not making buzz who had full hp stick bomb and sintead put rb who had 50 hp after the 2nd sova blast wrecked their mental going into the 3rd map
