DRX’s Problems

Bad comp selects. Idk why they shy away from comps which have brought them more success and which evidently they are more comfortable on, specifically the huge lack of breach in exchange for skye which doesn’t seem to work as well. They should also try utilizing agents like Raze and Neon more, agents with good utility and movement which I feel can be put to good use with the correct utility usage.
Lack of identity on roles. Buzz is literally playing jett, then killjoy, then astra? They also need a more designated sentinel to watch their flanks which Optic and Zeta were taking full advantage out of, an issue they’ve had since King left.
Rb. This guy simply underperforms at every high stakes match. I’m not trying to be the guy who goes and rants “drop player x, drop player y” after a bad performance, but he’s been super inconsistent in these higher profile games.

Huge fan of rb's raze plays but you gotta accept he hasn't been consistent recently. Maybe it's the roles switch or maybe it's the pressure but RB needs to perform well

biggest problem: team and individual positioning and decision making. Replace all 5 with players on ONS and DRX will be a much better team

Exactly.. the reason why prx Zeta loud are clicking is because of this.. stop having leashes to the point they underperform.. give them freedom individual plays do matter along with the strats and team plays

I feel like RB preformed better when the pressure wasn’t on him to frag. Like when he played other agents, I feel like he was much more impressive frag-wise than he is now

buzz is super flexible, but his astra has been lacklustre.
yeah, i am also not really one to say drop x, drop y. i did note that i didnt feel Rb on Jett ever since Challengers though, and i was proven right now. in hindsight a lot of takes i had were proven right:
optic 2-1 drx
zeta revenge vs drx (didnt post here but i told ppl on discord)
zeta knock out liquid on split
drx rb jett not that good
drx low expectations
g2 not that good

Drx got unlucky with the final map being split. Once the CT side picks up momentum, it's so hard for the t side to actually comeback into the game, they will need 3-4 rounds in a row which is near impossible for t side. Unlucky with the map selection, maybe would've done better in another map.

I don't think they need roster changes, they just need to sort things out and learn from their mistakes. Pressure gets on the heavy hitters which can only fix by time.

I unironically think DRX should have kept their Icebox pick to a minimum. They abused it in Groups too much. I think their Breeze would be the better option ngl. And I guarantee you they were saving Fracture, cuz they did that in Challengers.

From what I saw, their breeze is actually pretty good. A lot more team-based and lot more strategy involved, would certainly agree.

Yeah, it pained me a lot to see them pick Icebox so much, because it was only going to be a matter of time before they get antistratted on it. You can't get overconfident like that.

I don't think that DRX needs to change any players, but RB going a 185 acs throughout the event while playing jett, raze and sage is somewhat unacceptable if they want to be the best in the world.

Well either put Rb on duelist full time or kick the guy

they gotta stop sharing the jett role between BuZz and Rb

also think they choked a bit like vs OpTic, they arent very experienced in very close matches or overtimes

Would have to disagree, they've gotten double digits basically every single game in VCT, except for the split game against ZETA. I don't think anti strats beat a team. Every team has analyzed each opponent, like they aren't going to go into a game without being prepared. Rather I think it's the pressure making them crumble.

Fair take honestly. I feel like they didn't handle the pressure well either, through the whole Optic and ZETA series there were some really bad mistakes that just shouldn't happen and I feel like nerves might of got the best of them a few times in these series.

Northeption was the best Valorant roster Japan had produced in 2021. Two of their players (TENNN and SugarZ3ro) are now part of ZETA. And Seoldam carried them through LCQ. Bazzi wasn't even playing Jett as you said.

Agree on the lack of breach, when stax is deffo one of the best breaches in the world imo and I think Buzz on chamber on more maps will gradually lead to him being more comfortable and increase in confidence due to its fragging ability

they also didnt adapt. Yesterday against Optic, they lost many rounds due to some obvious late flank/lurk (could have been more rounds if Marved aim is better), but today they lost again due to the same flanks. Is like they played against Optic then go to bed and didn't analyse their defeat

they probably didn't actually. it was either they analyse the match or they take a rest because their mental was obviously boomed. i think they decided to take a rest instead, but got mental boomed anyway.
