KRÜ BLAZE delivers major upset over Team Liquid Brazil

KRÜ opened the series on their pick of Summit, targeting one of the maps that TL had dropped to Gentle Mates GC Gentle Mates GC Europe Unranked Nami Iman Nagaaoui berryx Emine Çoban Wens Gülce Eda Sürmeli Marti Martyna Pabian safiaa Safia Leghzal earlier in the tournament.

TL were in control at first on their attack, converting the first pistol and bonus to go up 5-1. KRÜ picked up a few round wins on A towards the end of the half, making it an 8-4 score in favor of TL.

The attack side, however, was where KRÜ shone; after a 2v3 postplant from tok1o and antG in the pistol, they won every remaining round except for the bonus to stun TL with a 13-9 comeback victory.

On Haven, KRÜ threw TL a curveball; after playing Neon-Phoenix on their last showing on the map back in the LATAM Main Event final, they switched over to Sage-Chamber.

The gambit paid off in spades for the LATAM squad as they put together an impressive 8-4 defense. TL struggled to find answers to both the Sage slowing them down on one side of the map and the Chamber taking deep Operator lines on the other. micaela was the one to reap the greatest rewards statistically, farming 15 kills in the Sage role.

KRÜ continued to thrive on attack despite running double-Sentinel, as antG called a half filled with varied plans that took them to a 13-6 win. micaela led the map with 18 kills, while tok1o ended the series with 36 through consistent fragging on Chamber. With this result, TL exit their home tournament with their lowest-ever GCC placement of 5th-6th.
