SK Nebula eliminates FENNEL GC in 2-0 victory

The first match of the day saw SK Nebula bounce back from a loss to Shopify Rebellion Gold Shopify Rebellion Gold North America Rank #172 dodonut Karnthida Chaisrakeo vanitas glowstick alexis Alexis Guarrasi Noia Nicole Tierce by taking out FENNEL GC, confirming the elimination of the last Pacific representative.

The series began on FL's pick of Lotus. While SK had an abnormal lineup, choosing to drop the Sentinel role entirely in favor of double-Duelist, double-Controller, FL outdid them with an even more unorthodox Miks pick by UR .

SK quickly seized control on their attack side, going up 8-4 as FL struggled to demonstrate the value of their composition. Joliinaa ran rampant on Neon, pulling off an impressive 1v4 in round nine and accumulating 15 kills in the first half alone.

Any hopes of a FL comeback were immediately dashed as they suffered a 3v5 full eco in round 14. From there, SK effectively concealed their lack of a Sentinel with strong C Mound control, snowballing the economy to run away to a 13-5 win. Thuy and rezq took the reins on defense, picking up 10 kills apiece; rezq finished the map with 19 total, while Thuy and Joliinaa followed up with 18 each.

On paper, Sunset appeared to favor SK, given their 13-3 destruction of Nova Esports GC in their opening match as opposed to FL's 13-4 loss to Gen.G GC. In reality, it was a close affair—FL converted a pistol and a bonus to go up 4-0, but SK responded in the buy rounds to make it a 6-6 half.

SK took the lead with a pistol of their own. They held onto that lead for the rest of the map, at one point widening it 12-8 and eventually closing it out 13-11 with a B split through Top Mid. rezq topfragged with 24 kills on Yoru, posting a 43/27/7 KDA over the course of the series.

Team Liquid Brazil strikes down G2 Gozen 2-0

For the next match, Team Liquid Brazil found themselves up against another one of the most storied cores in Game Changers in G2 Gozen, who they defeated 2-1 the last time they had met in the upper semifinals of GCC 2025. TL took the win again this time, sending G2 home with their lowest ever GCC placement of 7th-8th.

The first map was G2's pick of Split. After getting shut down 13-6 by Gentle Mates GC Gentle Mates GC Europe Unranked Nami Iman Nagaaoui berryx Emine Çoban Wens Gülce Eda Sürmeli Marti Martyna Pabian safiaa Safia Leghzal on the map earlier in the tournament, TL demonstrated marked improvement, starting with an 8-4 attack side where Joojina collected 16 kills. On their defense side, they found particular success holding their ground on B, shutting G2 out with a 13-7 victory. daiki 's Odin and Fade utility proved to be a major problem for her opponents as the IGL ended with a 20/10/11 KDA.

Backs against the wall, G2 rallied back in the first half of Sunset with an 8-2 start on their attack; TL struggled to respond to the patient defaults and heavy Mid pressure from G2's Sage-Chamber composition.

While TL faced difficulties on defense, however, they flourished on attack. Jelly in particular ran G2 down on Neon, farming six first bloods and 16 of her 21 kills to lead the Brazilian squad to a perfect 9-0 attack and a 13-8 win. isaa was also a rock for her side on Cypher, collecting 23 kills with strong impact in both halves.

Now in the top six, TL and SK both take another step forward in the lower bracket, with their next opponents to be determined by the results of tomorrow's upper semifinals.
