yeah if anything KR (Riot's favorite region oat) is getting AT LEAST 4 slots next year. T1, KRX, GenG, NS are all a lock
apparently geng is confirmed to not make franchising but i do understand that the korea is prob the best region but 4 slots of 10 means only 6 for the rest of pacific and WE all know japan is getting minimum 3 slots

my knowledge of FL mostly comes from Apex but is there any other game they are big in? I know they have some very big costreamers in valorant but idk much else about them

ngl that's a solid enough resume to get them in over dfm. it's not like dfm has done much in recent times in league anyway. if they retained part of their current roster and poached dfm players then that would be a genuinely good team. aace + meiy + akame would be so good
DFM could not have done much in league anyways, Japan is just not competitive in that game.
I could see Varrel somehow getting that spot. But I don't think Varrel has more clout than DFM let alone Fennel so I crossed Varrel out.

I see that Riot is trying to alienate Japanese fans if that's true.
japan is getting 2 at best, maybe even 1. GenG being out is news to me and i find it hard to believe that considering they are #2 behind T1 in terms of Riot relationship in LOL. They can easily have 4 slots and still leave a lot of the rest of the region.

barca is investing as a non-partner with the intention to contend in the region. they are not partnered, just putting a lot into the team for next year. Karmine Corp just renewed their clause with riot in LOL iirc as an LEC partner and have a great, stable RL infrastructure. they are a very safe choice in Riot's eyes.

Mb I was so focused on him saying they could have just swap zeta with FS I forgot that he put Japan having 2 teams. And yes, I do agree with that idea.
But seeing how Zeta always fumbles team pick I think DFM will be better at managing this. Which is why I want to swap zeta.

they would want to have japanese teams tho, they might be shit but they bring brazil level viewership even in regionals, imagine if they make an international. if i would remove japanese teams tho and keep 1 i would want meiy to be in that team
That's not how it works. They want to watch when there's Japanese team playing (With majority Japanese). I brought this up because they have a bad habit of getting in a lot of imports. No one wants to watch that. These teams and their managers are NOT to be trusted with having a slot in APAC, they will not get Japanese players on the team. Which defeats the whole point of getting more Japanese teams.
