Champs is the biggest achievement in VCT, its what the players themselves value the most, and it has the most teams attending + the 1st seeds dont get to skip group stage, making it the most competitive tourney

Also regions are based on who plays together in regional leagues, NA and LATAM teams all lived in LA, scrimmed against each other, and played against each other to qualify for Champs. Thats what it means to be a "region". Next year it will be different, LATAM and NA teams will not be living together, and they will have their own separate qualifiers.

Isn’t it still the same region, only the sub region divide is more emphasized with seperate qualifiers into the same regional cup? As far as I’m concerned the different sub regions are still fighting for the same number of spots to represent Americas. We don’t have this strong of a stigma in the other regions.
Next year, the sub region separation during the pre-cup stage + teams not living together (meaning far less scrimming each other) is enough to separate LATAM and NA.
