now imagine the roster they wouldve had: Zander, Cryo, Asuna, Ethan, BabyJ

seriously whoever is in charge of that decision needs to be kicked immediatly, like wtf
the potential roster couldve easily been the best team in NA and maybe even have the potential and talent to bring home a masters/champions or atleast make finals in one of those events

if they did they are straight up dumb af and ignorant about the scene + have never watched a single game of valorant. Everyone literally everyone knew Zander and Cryo are the next big players in NA and noone with a clear mind can argue with Ec1s over zander

zander is 100% a better IGL than ec1s but you aren't the one in the server. Even if I am wrong about this thing, you can't be judging 100T management because of some move that they thought from their eyes was going to be good. Asuna consistently praised ec1s about how he would take scrims seriously, and make him focus more. Not taking anything away from Zander but you can't be saying this when you don't know whats going on in and out of the server when they were deciding if they wanted ec1s or zander and cryo

What if 100T actually wins all the three remaining matches? Mastermind Nadeshot actually pulled off a big brain signing of Bats and Jcned . All the hate to 100T will turn into agonizing pleasure for the clutch signing. The whole valorant scene no the whole esports scene will lose their minds and will never doubt 100T management. What if? What if? What if 100T just actually kept steel maybe I would have never thought of this shit.

No one knows the actual working or behind the scenes, so we cant judge. Esports is still pretty confidential when it comes to contracts and bts. If hiko was the problem, I guarantee you they would've removed him immediately. Ultimately an org is created to make money and win. They wouldn't sacrifice an even just because they "love" hiko.

They couldn't have dropped Hiko though or else they wouldn't meet the 3/5 core player requirement to be invited to the closed qualifier (would only have ethan and asuna which is 2/5)

Well I think if they would have kicked hiko and only had 2 players left they would have had to compete in the open qualifiers and the next team below them would have gotten invited. If I understand it correctly but correct me if im wrong!

idk if i understand it well but 100t could still have kept babyJ and dropped hiko+ec1s. then asuna, ethan and babyJ would be the 3 players required and then they couldve still gotten bang and jcstani?

Idk how it works now that the closed qualifier is already underway so that I cannot help you with.

But basically the ruling is that they qualified for this closed qualifier through invitation on the basis that they were top 4 in circuit points last year AND still had at least 3/5 players who helped achieve that top 4 place and played at least 1 match during that time (last year)

My only statement was to the OP where (although an exciting idea) they couldn't have originally dropped hiko as well after losing steel and nitr0 in order to sign cryo, zander, and babyj as they would have forfeited their invitation rights since they no longer meet that 3/5 player ruling

again idk how it would work if they would have dropped hiko now that the closed qualifier is already underway but at this point it wouldn't have mattered for signing cryo and zander, obviously
