If you want to change race, fine. But it's not analogous to gender which has always been fluid since the beginning of time. You want me to give you examples?
Roman emperors had homosexual tendencies. In pre-16th century Philippines, the babaylan were men that dress and act feminine and which society considers feminine.
Also, to add, race is rooted in ancestral lineage and shared cultures which makes it more difficult to change while being socially constructed. On the other hand, gender is an individualistic internal situation.
