is it really the solutions for nrg? It's working but it is ewc and i feel like having your igl on duelist (for whatever problem they are trying to solve) is only a short-term solution and will bite them in the ass later on.

No, and I kind of hate that it's working right now because they might actually stick with this comp now
If you break it down between their new Haven and Ascent comps, it’s actually so smart and if it’s something that works against teams, why not stick with it
I can understand Ascent since they literally didn't practice it until after London. But they've been doing well on Haven so far this year so I'm not sure why they decided to change the comp. I guess something from scrims made them think they had to switch it up so I'll just have to wait and see.
I think it came down to flexibility and seizing opportunity with agents.
Keiko was a no brainer on Chamber. I think he’s one of the best in the world. This leaves you down to only one duelist, and bc Phoenix is so dominant in the meta at the moment, you needed to put Mada on it.
Brawk ane Skuba were comfort picks. Which left Ethan with his Init/Flex role. I saw someone relate his Breach to Neon and I can see it. A lot of Breach’s kit has the same functionality as Neon.
So I guessed they practiced it pre-EWC, it worked and now we’re here? My #1 Duelist IGL
Edit: additionally, Ethan doesn’t always have to IGL, Mada has been an exceptional dead-comms for a long time, so he can comm for Ethan when he dies

useless ascent odin, mada waylay on fracture, and NEON igl, ngl im lowkey worried
I genuinely think this idea is overhated
ethan isn't even a super micro IGL, his performance isn't impacted much by being on neon
also if he dies on entry early all the better, he can just call from dead comms with even better focus on the game state while still having impact on the round by taking space
