what subscription should i get for long term coding projects & school stuff
both are good in their own regards but i need to know which is more powerful and cost effective

don’t use any for long term coding projects. Trust me, using AI will ruin ur skills as a developer
Hey man you're bold to assume im a real developer, just need it for some passion projects mostly and some work. Plus imo i do think ai is the future in coding regardless if its liked or not
but ty for the headsup if i ever consider fr getting into being a dev ill keep it in mind
AI is the future for coding, but only as a braindead assistant. Using it more than that will not bode well and end up with many errors and mistakes
since u just want passion, yeh u can use AI, just make sure to double check cuz alot of errors
I would say Claude Code is just more widely adopted in tech compared to Gemini with Codex being second
Gemini is the best at understanding large codebases comprehensively due to a larger context window
However for actually writing good code, Claude is much better in that aspect
Unless you are working within some massive code bases Claude is better in all metrics than gemini
Thats a good question and tbh i just see more power with Claude & Gemini than I do with chatgpt-- although i will say Codex has been phenomonal and codex by open ai ive had work the best comparfed to claude code
ive seen more power with claude, consistency with gemini, and versatility with chatgpt (codex)
Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg don't use AI because if you learn it naturally you will be better at AI user long term.
does anyone here do long research projects and coding, is there an all in one
yes i will still be reading the papers one by one
if you dont wanna pay, just get gemini pro with a student membership. you get 1 year free.
I personally prefer Claude Code as a product over Codex. I haven’t used Antigravity enough to form a strong opinion yet, though a senior developer I know mentioned they actually prefer Antigravity over Claude Code. That said, I still feel OpenAI currently has the strongest models overall compared to Anthropic and Google. My issue is more with the Codex product experience itself. I just enjoy using Claude Code more. I also think these tools can be misleading for beginners who jump into software engineering without understanding the fundamentals. If you use AI tools blindly and copy whatever they generate without thinking through the problem, you’ll eventually run into walls and struggle to debug or scale things properly. But if you already understand how to build systems, break down problems, and prompt these tools effectively, they become incredibly powerful.
