i swear there is basically nothing to be confused about. they have 4 groups that go into a double elim playoffs? and then get points based on how well they do, which quals them to a bigger, final event? twin this is just vct stage 1 without masters
its cuz they finally remembered mena existed, before they had 4 groups of 3 but now they have 2 extra spots, which they cant really balance too well
you can see it if u look at stage 2 vs 3 last year where s2 had 12 teams (And no mena) and s3 had 14 teams (with mena).
I feel like they should just add 2 more teams from the other subregions then?
the problem is the utterly dogshit swiss format where only one team makes it out of each group (and the groups are uneven) so when the two best teams in the region draw each other (like reborn and EP did), what should and could be the grand final ends with one team not even making it out of groups
like i guess? the only way to prevent this would be to get 2 teams from each group but that takes a shitload of extra time (from an 8 team playoffs), money, etc etc, plus it would only temporarily solve the problem. what if you get 3 teams who are great in the same group? could you make the same argument? do you want 10 team playoffs?
also, at the end of the day, if ur not the best team in ur group, just deal with it. ur not the best team in the group
