For me it was Champs 2025, boring answer but there was a lot of vareity in comps and most teams knew what they were doing

Agree with your take. There are multiple choices for 2025 Champions - double initiators were fine, double smokes also worked well, even double duelists could find some footing. Looking at the meta now, I wish Riot buffs more sentinels and initiators so that double duelists would be less spammed.
bruh double duelist WAS the meta during champs, just none of the teams played it except for drx and prx
people who think champs 2025 meta was wide open are silly, the meta we had at Santiago is just an offshoot of the waylay yoru meta drx were playing at champs. Teams just found out how good Neon with judge was and ran it down. Sentinels were already not very good against it, and the nerf just further enabled it
There was still some tweaking left but champs 25 was the closest to perfect. My favorite one tho was double controller in 2024 even tho many hated it , gekko was a menace ,breach had credible impact , different harbor+controller ideas and funnily enough I liked watching the games on icebox which usually I detest watching and playing.
Iso haven meta was really fun too watch too.
Yeah honestly Madrid/Shanghai was a pretty inoffensive and entertaining meta
I genuinely think this meta is two key changes away from being the best so far, and 11.08 will prove to have been the right move just executed too hastily
unfortunately end of year always comes big patch to the game. It doesn't matter if it best meta, it will get stale at some point. Constant changes is needed.
Honestly champs 25 felt really good. Maybe we would have needed some slight tuning of yoru and waylay and mayb neon, but overall it was fun
Even champs 24 with 2 slide Neon was okay cuz cypher existed and it felt counterable
