Hello,

So, been playing Valorant for about a month now and I always try to practice my aim playing a few DM's but it is so frustrating ... everyone just plays with max volume and hold angles also I keep getting shot in the back constantly ...

How do you guys train in DM without actually raging?

Just mute the game audio, bump some music and hard clear every angle.

playing dm with no sound at all is way better, you can just focus completely on your aim, music can be distracting sometimes and can condition your focus, even if it's chill bg music.

Range is far better for aim training

true, range is better for aim training but dm is better for warming up and getting dialed in

the range is better for flicks and precise mouse movement, while dm is for clearing angles, movement and reaction time.

would be nice if i didnt die from an angle i hard cleared 20 seconds ago

but like, 20 sec in dm is a lot... even in standard matches. you've gotta be aware of where players might come from, even when you clear an angle. not everything is abt running and searching for duels.

Why do you care so much about what others are doing?

I used to tilt a lot in DM because of stuff like angle holding, crouch spraying, oping, etc.

Then I just realised, why do I care so much about what others are doing. If I'm in there to warm up, I just do my thing. I'm not playing to win, I'm just trying to warm up a bit.
So I put some music on, and chill. DM means nothing in the end. Just ignore what others are doing, even if they're spamming an odin, or spectre. Just focus on yourself and your own gameplay.
After while you become numb to the people trying to win a DM so hard, just so they can go lose their gold3 rankup match.

nicely put, not having sound on is key, the only tilting thing is to feel that bullet hit the right or left side of ur head

Like I dont play on 0 sound. I have my sound around 10-15, and music on 100%
Fully deaf DM just feels off for me. Gotta have some sound, even if I can't hear footsteps, or anything great. Even at 5% is fine for me. 0 I just find it offputting xD

It's why I liked CS dm where footsteps and enemy shots were muted, but my own wasn't.

I Play a lot of cs ffa and sometimes I hop on val to play dm but yea, it's frustrating when you keep getting shot in the back and when u get spawn killed, but at the end you have to realise that dm isnt about stats and who wins... it's about warming up and practicing.

TLDR: DM isn't about stats and rank, dm is practice and warming up.
