ok i'm not a huge cinephile but i do love movies so i thought i'd share my favs, if u have any recommendations based on what i like pls say 😸😸
Dead Poets Society (will never get tired of this movie, so emotional and i love Todd and Neil's relationship) (Also my comfort movie, have watched this countless times + read the book)
Black Swan (such a poetic and emotionally rich movie, i love the vibe and the knee cracking scene still gives me chills)
The Perks of Being a Wallflower (this movie hits so hard, but the ending is so beautiful and i especially love Ezra Miller in this, so talented) (ALSO, the heroes scene at the end with Charlie's monologue is one of the best scenes in movie history, any scene with David Bowie music is 10/10 tbf)
Aftersun (the slow build up and getting to see Calum's struggles is so heartbreaking, and the entire thing with the old video clips is so cool and unique but used in such a heartbreaking way)
The Silence of The Lambs (the entire character of Hannibal Lecter is so scary and interesting, and it's played so well in this, so scary but so amazing, the villain too was made into such a disgusting freak it was soo good) (AND ALSO, the last scene about Lecter "Having an old friend for dinner"? WOW, so good.)
Alien (I'm usually not into these types of movies but fuck me this was good, and also Sigourney Weaver is so attractive in this holy shit, such a scary movie too, exceeded my expectations alot)
Paris, Texas (amazing movie, the plot is so interesting and unique and its very emotional, it does feel maybe abit dragged at parts but tbh i dont mind, it was an amazing experience)
The Breakfast Club (I LOVE THIS MOVIEE, it was executed perfectly and carries such a cute message about how even though people look like they dont fit together, they can still be similar and become good friends)
Beautiful Boy (Such an emotional movie, i love the realism and how authentic it feels, Timothee Chalamet is amazing in this movie, and it just makes u so sad to see the consequenes of addiction)
A Dogs Purpose (this is by far the saddest movie i have ever watched, i was crying from around minute 10 and never stopped, at parts i cried so hard i almost threw up and couldnt breathe, its so fucking heartbreaking and heartwarming at the same time, ive never felt so emotional in my life.
HM: Fantastic Mr Fox, Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind, A Dogs Journey, Call me by your name, The Art of Racing in The Rain, Kill Bill, Christiane F, Knives Out
