Yes, Valorant is a new game that has an unsecure future but it was a gamble worth taking, especially when it has the financial backing from riot games. Would you rather take a 50/50 chance at becoming the best player in a new game or a much lower than 50/50 chance trying to compete in T1 CS where being the "best" or even dominating the scene was really rocky? There's a big difference between being a T1 player and being able to dominate the scene; I'm pretty sure Wardell wanted to dominate the competitive atmosphere and valorant held the conditions better suited for that.

Unfortunately I disagree where csgo had uncertainty the games been around far longer then I can remember the csgo scene it's self has been year on year a lucrative career choice for any pro player out their wardell never broke out on. Tier 1 list I mean ok if TL were going to take a shot at the guy they would have offered good money bit of brandead move for not taking it in my oppinion (yes I know people's oppinions will differ like mine and yours but look at it logically) he takes an uncertain path dominates in invitational tourneys then the real circuit begins and he's a flop he either had no faith in him self for not taking the contract with TL or he thought he was better then that and went on to play Val either way you look at it people caught up with him fast and surpassed him even quicker he's aweful on rifle and not the best opper nor decision maker their are tons of talent out their far more superior then him
