Two EMEA Challengers, as in previous seasons, will still be part of the circuit, but it’ll now be joined by two new competitions: the first one between Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams just before Masters Santiago, the second one at the end of the season, to qualify for Stage 2.
because they now have Tier 2 vs Tier 1? another event where teams won't even try? another Mickey Mouse event for Tier 1 and life games for Tier 2 teams? I don't think they're fixing much, just giving us some bread crumbs and expecting us to be happy about it

Many more games for non masters qualifying teams (triple elim kickoff, T1 vs T2 event). 3 teams first masters, 4 T2 teams in VCT playoffs able to qual to champs... These are all amazing changes.

it's the fifth change already, pre-partnership was already great and they ruined it, the game itself was great and now they're ruining it, and now they'll find a way to ruin the tournaments even more
youre hating just to hate. No concrete criticism of the changes. I have 0 interest in twerking for riot but these changes are great and not "ruining things even more" at all.
Its clear they do know what to do atp. Announced looking to open the system more for 2027 a year ago and made changes for 2026 consistent with that vision. Unless they fail to expand on that in 27 i will not be thrashing them for doing the right incremental changes.
All T2 teams across all regions have a chance to make Split 2 playoffs and fight with the T1 teams to attempt to make champs
I think the changes they have made are definitely a step in the right direction it also means, more valorant as well as a more stable T2 scene as there is a possibility for champs and could incentivise teams to invest. It's a win-win. Also a really good platform to identify issues that can be fixed as well as what can be done better overall.
