honestly i dont think this is that big of a deal it means orgs wont need to invest as long as normal which would have been even worse this year considering how hard it is to make champs as a tier 2 team.

i want to see what the the general opinion is though, will a tier 2 from any league make champs this year?

in their current trajectory, i absolutely see EF making it to champs

tbh emea is pretty weak this year at least on paper so i could see this if they really tighten up their gameplay

EMEA weak? emea is on of the most competitive regions, i see genuine chance of 8 or 9 different teams to make intls

compared to pacific or americas the emea rosters are not very strong i don't think a single one could win a international this year

Yeah no, I think your are wrong. The fact so many teams are above decent will push every team to perform at their peak all time and to innovate bc you have to bc you don’t get free games like against Team secret or furia

im happy to be proven wrong but i do think ulf and pcfic will be free wins early on but generally speaking there arent many free win teams left maybe ts and tec

TEC, TS, GE, Nova, LOUD mostly, Furia, NV, VARREL

GE???? there is no way a roster with frost, autumn, patmen, and udotan is a free win lmao. nv and varrel are upset teams def not free wins and furia i think will be mid pack but maybe they will suck idk for sure. nova roster has potential but im not familiar with the coaching staff

Sure buddy, so like you think the org known for making every player 100000 times worse like xset player Ayrin and Texture will suddenly be good?

Vitality massively upgraded, Heretics upgraded a bit. KC and Navi up. Gm8 even or a bit up, ULF better than KOI,

PCF similar to Apeks, FUT equal, Giants equal,

FNC a bit down, Liquid a bit down, BBL a bit down,.

These roster are judged by their post kickoff value (vit sayo, ulf echo/sopp)

The region was already good last year and improved itself so how can it be weak?

TH didnt upgrade, m8 didnt upgrade, navi didnt upgrade and vit did not massively upgrade this is just max emea braindamage after doing nothing for the past 3 years

vitality is just bbl with more firepower but sayo will have a adjustment period to tier 1 i actually have the most hope for this team over the course of the season but they wont be lifting trophies right away.

heretics is a sidegrade you cant confidently say they will be better this year

navi and kc have ?'s but maybe slightly upgraded hard to say

M8s is a full rebuild and im not familiar with coaching staff to be able to say if its an improvement

ulf sure

pcf sure

fut honestly i think will be better

gx sure but could improve a lot that roster is really good

fnc and tl lost their star players so i mean it has to be more than a bit

bbl will be a lot worse this season wont get near top 4 regionally

wdym how does a region improve??? pacific is stacked from top to bottom and has 1 team ppl don't think will be competitive but genuinely you could make a case for any team making champs and americas is a bit top heavy but the bottom came up quite a lot. emea is roughly the same as it was last year arguably worse with the loss of keiko

TL downgraded, but not as much as people say they did, they are still very good

Vitality actually has a coach and igl with a working brain

Heretics Will be an upgrade, if you watched their vlog youd know they didnt even prep more then a day for the event, itll just take a bit to get him into the system

Fnatic has same as Liquid where the downgrade isnt as big as people say

M8 Will be very good. Marteen always very good. Bipo Huge firepower. Starxo on of the highest rated in all of emea asc. WHILST IGLING

GX have always been very fking insane in scrims, even in 2024 showing pipson can bring them quite far

Fut upgraded their weaker points and kept their strong parts

Navi for sure upgraded, with angel no longer holding back the firepower. Sociablee back into igling like in t2. And being on of the more consistent high fraggers on bbl.Hiro Ruxic with insane peaks, shao very consistent and filu who most likely is a sidegrade or just slight downgrade to alexiiik

Bbl picking up The best t2 team the past 2 years looking very strong and keeping it all together.

KC has insane firepower with avez most consistent highest fragging on KC last year. Suy 2nd highest last year, and back on his main role. Dos9 standing out on boom bc of fragging. Sheydos back with Engh and igling in a system he already knows=> easier to learn. And showed in blender he can still frag. And at last Lewn who had the highest peeks on bbl last year

they will struggle more when T1 teams play with real comps and structured play. This event was playing to their strengths as much as possible.

This is overreaction central.

And i say that as someone who predded them to do really fucking well in blender from the start

sure, but as it stands EF are already above at least half the teams in the league and are poised to get better

i don't see many emea teams being that good, so there is a very realistic chance they'll be able to make it

im sorry but thats nonsense. Newly assembled T1 teams with lacking synergy in a new meta vs a team that perma picks comfort agents and plays like ranked. Its not EF being "already better". Its them getting worse compared to the T1 teams without joke agents bans and moreso over the course of the season as T1 teams improve their structured play. This format literally robs Typical T1 teams of their greatest advantage over the rankedstyle T2 teams.

I can see EF beating FUT, BBL, ULF and PCF and maaayyyybeee GM8 but thats their peak. They could also just lose to all of these teams as well especially later in the year. Why would EF be "poised to get better"? They have questionable coaching with a duelist IGL. Except for Spear the team is filled with veterans. There is no visible growth in the team over the past year. Just improved roles and slightly better fragging. This team will never we terribly sophisticated

This is peak offseason overreacting as i said. Tiny sample size devoid of any context is bad analysis.

your entire argument was voided the moment you decided to prove my point

if they can beat these teams, they are better than them, and are thus above half the league

I said they can not that they will. Any of those team can beat EF as well. They are close. Youre elevating EF to a top midfield team in emea which they are not

DFM Academy should be picked up by another org, their roster can make champs

Doesnt this mean most t2 players will have no salary for even more of the year then?

depends on offseason events. People are getting paid for playing project blender for example. Will need a lot more than that though
