would you be interested in a vlr pro city with different tiers depending on rank / skill level with a discord bot and mmr system similar to how tariks procity runs

VLR Community Cup, which was essentially a team circuit for VLR users run via Discord. There's been a lot of backlash for it, though, including but not limited to poor overall management, not being able to sign up as full teams, and a lot of people in the Discord being absolute weirdos

the management isnt that bad for a league, and ranked 10 mans would change that a lot positively i believe. also the no full teams things was becasue its a casual league, and plenty of premade teams have very unfair advantages. some of them even have scrim experience.
and while there are some weirdos in there, theres weirdos in val already. and hopefullly with active in houses those weirdos will be purged
The tournament as a whole in my opinion has been an overall positive towards community engagement. The server has been around for almost 3 years now its inevitable bad stuff is gonna happen.
the whole point of this is to try to "fix" many of those issues.
The scope of the tournament is really large, and one of the reasons this "poor management" and "not being able to sign up as full teams" thing has been a problem is due to limited volunteers and staff. This pro city format would allow thing to ruch much much much much more smooth as it would be easier to run the format with less people
as per people in the discord server being absolute weirdos, i'd like to think the people in the server are more normal than the people who actively use these vlr forums lol. there's been a pattern of active VLR members "quitting" vlr forums to become more active and engaged in the server since there are more like-minded people who aren't just there to troll and ragebait.
i know what weirdos you might be specifically referring to and i know the new eu management has taken steps to personally ban all of those people, to the point where they did a complete overhaul on the tournament to even where they deleted to old chat where those actors used to participate. it's a lot more chill and less toxic.
once again, i just want to reiterate any active member on the server will tell you it's been an overall net positive for the community and all big servers (vcc has like 1300 members or something) will have bad actors but the good has outweighed the bad. i am happy to answer any questions or address any concerns people have
Not to be that guy, can't speak for every region to the best degree, but we all try our best to figure stuff out and manage everything as best as we can, other than that, AFAIK 5-stacks can participate as long as they are extremely overpowered. As for the weirdos comment, yes some people could be seen as such, but not everyone is.
