the manwha was good because of the art and when the protagonist was not a 100% aura farming robot like he became later

I agree. it was the coolest shit when i first read it back in 2018 - 2019 but ever since i read other manwhas it pales in comparison

I've always said it, Manhwa would not be as popular as it right now if it were not for Solo Leveling. Your experience can be different, you might've started out somewhere else, but the fact that SL had like a couple billion views pre-anime was absurd. It is the most sold physical manhwa book of all time, it never left the top 10-20 series in japanese medias, the game also accumulated about 5 million pre registration all during quarantine.

You can hate on it all you want, but the other manhwa-anime adaptations are only coming as a result of the success of SL. Especially after the disasters that were GoH and ToG.

I will say it’s one of the few manwha’s that stays interesting all the way to the end

So many where the first 50-100 chapters are peak then it falls off a cliff

IMO the cast of villains and the whole system plotline keeps it fresh

if you want a manwha with a similar premise but not just hype and aura sigma farming then read "Player". plot itself is actually so well done compared to other power-trip series that it makes me so much more disappointed in the genre than i already was b4
