Saw the vct video where pros pick players for their roster, and no one picked kangkang, and they chose aspas over kangkang. Why? Isn't kangkang objectively better duelist than aspas?

aspas per say didnt even have a bad year he had one shit tourney . Like he has a 1.12 rating in VCT Americas stage 2 , 1.19 rating in split 1 and 1.26 in kickoff . Like in now way he had a bad year .

nor was kangkang bad for a year, he barely played in 2022 but clearly a star player in EDG, farmed in 2023, farmed in 2024 and is doing okay this year. idk where this kangkang is bad narrative he is like the only one performing in the team besides certain popoffs by players

no one thing he is washed I think retarded idiots think he is trash or washed in reality after Tokyo ppl expect aspas / t3xture or Zekken lvl stats from him . Lets be honest if KangKang did play insanely in the champs final ppl would have cursed the living shit outta him . Like despite his champs insane final like without grand final he had a 1.02 rating and like no way ur best player should be having that rating . Even players like boo and kingg had a higher rating than kangkang if u dont count the grandfinal . And IK the rating does him justice fully like he was EDG's highest killer fragger across the tourney even after not counting grandfinal .

their gameplan is centered around getting him as many kills as possible. even more so than the average duelist on any team. for example on ecos coaching staff specifically makes him force and sometime another teammate will run no weapon if it means they can get him an awp.

Idk what metric you use to say Kangkang is objectively better than Aspas but if I had to guess a reason for Aspas > Kangkang its a mixture of familiarity with Aspas, his consistency over a long time and Brazilian propaganda
