3, 4, 6, or 7 (and sorta 5, 8) joining would be a catastrophe for the ecosystem
cant reward teams that arent even willing to invest into t2/gc, when theres teams still in t2 that have been here since 2020

100% agree with u. But if riot really cared about orgs which had invested in valorant for years and had history they would totally have accepted Acend in 2022. Riot wouldn't have designed T2 like they did if they really gaf about loyalty. It's definitely going to be a big org essentially buying the slot, either mates one of those orgs or a Saudi org unfortunately.

Riot have stated that when looking for replacement orgs for ascension winners (things like the guard situation) they would priorities orgs that invest into t2 (don't remember if they made a statement on GC, but I would assume it counts too)

We have no statement on new partner teams, so I wouldnt put it past Riot to screw over orgs again, but theres at least hope that theyll apply the same standard for new partners

And ye Falcons are gonna be considered regardless since they never pulled out of GC

You're probably right that they do care to a certain degree, after all they rewarded BOOM when the Bleed situation occurred. However with the timing of the bbl M8 rumor and how abrupt koi's removal was, it reeks of a pure money move. (Probably M8)

spirit and vp only dont invest in valorant because theres no cis league because of the war, there were actually rumors in the beginning of 2022 that spirit was looking to get a valo roster. that being said virtually zero chance of russian/russian owned orgs making it

youre free to join other leagues afaik (e.g. teams like Fokus region hopping) so thats not really an excuse anymore
Picking up a NorthEast roster is dirt cheap too, so they just arent interested in investing into valorant

Low initial interest (look at the orgs in https://www.vlr.gg/event/876/valorant-regional-league-cis-milestone/ )
Unclear transition when their league got suspended
All interesting t2 regions already have orgs (meaning you'd have to pick up a t3 team to try and join a t2 league) and the ones that dont (polaris and east -> northeast) are very unattractive for a large org like vp/spirit
Failing to qualify to t2 (e.g. https://www.vlr.gg/event/985/valorant-regional-league-northern-europe-polaris-stage-2/promotional-tournament)

We have no reason to believe that Riot would have any issues with the "no-longer-russian" russian orgs

That being said KPI for example is an org that successfully transitioned from their Russian roster to a ~~russian roster~~ spanish roster.

To be fair, spirit and vp sold their majority ownership to investors outside of Russia, (Serbia and Armenia respectively) If they wanted to invest in Valorant they probably would've by now and not banked on an opportunity like this just appearing. That being said they have the funds and the fanbase to make a competitive pitch to riot, but we'll see.

Brother the reason falcons aren’t interested in valorant, more specifically partnership, is that they know riot would investigate falcons’ financial backing and realize that they’re like basically state owned atp from the PIF. That’s why they deleted their team before they had a chance to win ascension last year
