Is the Odin actually a problem?

At the time of writing this the two last rounds of valorant I just watched(Envy vs TSM) Seven just abused the odin. I've seen previous discussions about the odin and also a discussion about Brawk using it against sentinels. But hoenestly its just so sad to watch the game of "Who does the most damage with the odin"

At first I was thinking that Brens "Crashout" tweet on the odin was a bit to much but now im starting to understand what he is saying man.

Its just so fucking boring to watch this. Yay the round starts que the Odin spam; Oh no two players are on 30hp what ever will they ever do. Cut to 45 seconds later, Oh no the odin is killing like a fucking lawnmower and everyone ded. Whoo what an amazing round of Valorant. What an amazing round in the game Project A a game about precise gunplay and to prove that you are the next generation of pros with your cracked aim and understanding of the game. But no mE SaVe fOr OdIn Me hOld iN RiGht cLiCK AnD mE wIn RoUNd

Oh and the worst thing is, I can't just blame one player no it's not like its KennyS back in cs just being so good that a gun had to be nerfed, no this gun is so broken at this point its just use or be abused. Its so damn boring.

The only thing that needs to be changed are the lines that can be spammed as soon as the barriers drop. Spamming off of util or timing is otherwise skillful and/or carries some measure of risk, but not these spots where you just park in tree and spam A main instantly, for example.

They got rid of it for Ascent B and it made the map less of a headache, so do it for the other ones too.

Yeah however I have heard some wispers about a nerf to the odin however this might also be the play.

yea there are literally multiple pro players who crutch Odin over rifles in pro games because of how easy it is to use,please apply for a analyst u could make millions if u taught tier 1 teams how to counter odin

I'm going to be devils advocate. Love Brawk and glad TSM won. But it is in the game for a reason :/

Do you need skill to use it? No.
Is it boring to watch in pro play and way too easy? Yes

Nah I feel you man I myself enjoy an upset from time to time and I rooted for NRG in the game against Sentinels since I really do not like sentinels. But the meta that is forming right now is really not what riot promised when they made valorant.

Definitely unintentional. I've been watching Brawk and Mada since their MXS days and now seeing them make it to Champs is amazing. And even seeing Brawk define the meta is really cool to watch even if it sucks

odin is really only "strong" on lotus at the moment. no other maps can abuse odin as much as lotus at the moment. ascent is alright bc of the B site changes.

literally countless odin abusers in pro play and lotus has had an odin meta since it was released, the fact that people are only just now noticing it and acting like it's something new is crazy, i guess because corrode is another odin map?

For sure but I also feel like alot of players has started doing it recently aswell, for a lot of time it was just Art known for the odin

Now when alot of players started doing it it comes more into view therefore ahining a light on the problem that has been there all along.

Yeah bro, someday try to use it in a ranked match and u will see how easily u get kills and clutch out of situations lmao, it's an actual broken gun, it's kinda crazy how it hasnt got nerfed yet, last time this was just before madrid somewhat that a lot of teams were abusing odin and I was like finally a nerf but then from Madrid it's usage kinda went down in pro play so it got swept under the radar

Sure they used that machinegun absurdly but you also need to realise that ENVY Didnt play good . I mean How often do you see like big plays with odin in tier 1 (excluding lotus and in ascent these days that gun isnt outstanding )

Imo the gun isn't the problem, it is the maps
