KOI out of VCT

Now that KOI is taken out of VCT for poor content, lack of skin sales and bad performance. Does this mean that we can finally get rid of Furia? Make 2G the new partnership team.

It looks like Furia hasn't been trying since partnership. They had 1 good stage so far in VCT. At least other teams are trying haha

They had only 1 season in tier 1 and they were missing Spikez for half the season. I guess he is off to Lev anyways though. Might've stayed if 2G were still in partnership .

KOI is the biggest org in Spain and did not do any of those 3 things mentioned and they still found a way tp terminate it. Who tf knows anymore

riot is not allowed to kick any team that has not breached the contract so furia can not leave, i think koi did but just not saying it from their side

Maybe content or streaming obligations? But I reckon riot would have given a warning at some point in the past for reasons like that

Ain't no way a team like furia is in the league still if "poor performance and skin sales" r the reasons

No it doesn't. KOI had a costreaming, a much bigger one than most EMEA orgs and costreamed all games not just theirs. It's just that the clause said it had to be Ibai the one costreaming but Ibai stepped down from all costreamings due to mental health this year. It's just a loophole to get M8 in

Sure but if that's the case maybe they messed up something behind the scenes? If the clause specifically wants Ibai and Ibai wanted to step down frm streaming, I would assume there's some sort of mismanagement from KOI there. I heard it was some technical detail in the contract and that might be it.

But yes I'm with u on riot finding a loophole to get M8 in.

I'm wondering if they would have got BBL out if they didn't perform well as they did. I heard rumours on Twitter about their financial mismanagement and consideration of their termination.

I don't think they were able to get BBL out but if they could have maybe they would have. I don't think the decision is related to performance because if we're being honest it's not like M8 doesn't fucking suck aswell, they lost their spot for a reason.

And basically KOI's contract said if Ibai didn't stream they had to provide a suitable alternative, which they did, but in order to terminate the contract they basically arbitrarily said "the alternative is not suitable" and kicked them straight away with no warning. Ibai literally offered to comeback and they refused.

I don't think Riot had a choice, using that loophole was the only way to get M8 in

I forget exactly where but directly from KOI, either Ibai or SergioFFerra. It's not what I was referring to but they also said something like, they were happy with the alternative until M8 lost their spot
