Had drama about late payments and weird management a while back.

Maybe they dont trust them as an org that much.

Well... How can you build fanbase if you play 8 matches a years and lose all of them.

Koi has a lot of potential. They just need to get better

The post makes no sense. They don't hold an ascension spot lol?

Apeks and Gentle Mates have been relegated from VCT EMEA after failing to qualify for Champions 2025 and not meeting the criteria to qualify to Ascension. Therefore, the seventh- and eighth-best teams in Ascension Points will qualify in their stead.

  • As a result, Ascension will promote two new teams to VCT for the next year.

yeah but they just mean that bbl will be replaced by m8s as an org regardless of ascension. m8s is a stable org with a very very big fanbase

That part makes sense. However, I think the comments are being misunderstood or taken out of context. They haven’t released any players (unlike Apeks) which suggests there might be some "truth" to this. As I recall, franchised teams won’t be reconsidered until the end of 2026, so doing it at the end of 2025 wouldn’t make sense.

Take it with a huge amount of salt. Reminder that BLEED needed a thorough amount of investigation for the decision to out them (despite them being an Ascension team) ends up happening in the first place.

The new Partnership cycle won't be in full effect until 2027, so 2026 is more of a 'last spurt' moment for any organizations to make their case either staying in the IL or potentially replacing the previous partner teams.

Not saying there's no chance it might even happen, but there's a lot of working gears behind the scenes for this to be even considered.

I do very much expect this for 2027 though. I would be shocked if it didn't happen

It's mostly fake. Don't believe Unless you hear it from credible sources.
