RRQ disrespect

RRQ is a fantastic team. I know they bombed out of Toronto, but context is important: they were extremely reliant on Tejo, so the meta shift impacted them severely, and it was their first international as a team.

Now, they showed that they can be a top level team in Pacific in a different meta and completely bounced back from Toronto. I think people are SUPER sleeping on them! I’d argue they’re top 5 across all regions rn

they were definitively the worse team for the first 3 maps and talon's inexperience must have gotten to them

give talon a corrode pistol and its 3-0 easy

im worried for them.

I feel like they still have a lot of weaknesses. RRQ has incredible coaching and decently strong attack side calling but when the coaching prep fails and the defense cracks they begin falling apart.

Talon make a lot of mistakes that can just be fixed with more practice and experience

bro i see u are underrating rrq so much, lemme tell u smth
rrq's conditions on the day against talon:

  • crazyguy just arrived the morning right before talon's match, lack of rest, jetlag, and have to igling the team on the same day.
  • kushy was sick, affecting his performance
  • jemkin's mousepad was left behind in seoul airport so he had to buy a new one and adjusting to that, as he said lmao
  • xffero's mouse was broken on map 2
  • visa issues so they didn't have the best prep
and they still won. rrq is just too damn good. im pretty sure they would've stomped talon 3-0 easily with talon couldn't have gotten more than 6 rounds on each map if those conditions didn't happen.

rrq looked so shit the first two maps because one of their players was sick and their igl was on max 2 hours of sleep. talon would've won those first two maps anyway, but the scorelines are deceiving. they were the better team for the last three maps, no question

  1. Jet lag doesn't exist when the duration of the flight from Seoul to Tokyo is like 2.5 hours. I think travel fatigue is the correct reason here.

  2. I could see that in his performance today, lowkey had a stinker

  3. Not a valid reason lol mousepads are mousepads

  4. Idk should've called a tech pause then

  5. Valid

Look, I'll admit, RRQ played well and thoroughly deserved that reverse sweep, but the excuses you made for why they played TLN so close were funny

the excuses i made was funny? LMAO

  1. crazyguy was flying from vietnam, not korea, cause he had to take care his visa.
  2. if he's sick, he should've had worse performance, but he's just being him, and his 3k bring map 5 to ot and finally won the match.
  3. yeah i agree lmao, maybe it's just a jemkin thing
  4. but the reality was not. so he played against talon with broken mouse since map 2 and still proceed to become this match mvp :))

so the conclusion is rrq still much better than talon, and i'm waiting for ur reply tho, do the excuses i made still look funny to you? loll

Not to mentioned the patch for the champion event not include icebox, their best map lol, and ofc impacted their map pool. Their luck keep going negative in international events smh

Locked in TLN vs barely prepped RRQ
And then still lost to them. Think about it for a sec

They’re just a young team that cracks under pressure, so it’s just hard to trust them. Once they fix that then they’ll be properly rated. It’s not bc of skill that they’re getting underrated

But they HAVE been performing under pressure though. They’ve been consistently clawing and fighting throughout Pacific playoffs, even when on the brink of elimination to GenG

They only did those of lately. Earlier 2023 and 2024 seasons they always crumble to pressure. And that changed when crazyguy came in.

Exactly. What gives me belief in RRQ is RRQs persistence and success despite all of the disadvantages and unfortunate circumstances they’ve had to deal with. They’ve got that dog in em.

Don’t get me wrong what they’re doing rn is impressive, but people will always base it off of international performances like Toronto and EWC. Is it an unfair basis? Yes. We can all agree that domestics are different from internationals so for rn they’ll be underdogs until otherwise.

i don't think they're top 5 across all regions - tl, prx, g2, blg, drg, on good days sen (and by that i mean not against 1) g2 or 2) the day after g2), maybe even FNC (hit a bit of playoff slump but could bounce back).
They were some pretty big tejo merchants, and honestly in my opinion they dsereved to lose today against talon (and talon probably had some of the same problems as you were listing before for rrq, ur just ignoring talon completely and disrespectingt hem), talon threw hard with little stage experience and nerves.
