TH/DRX/MIBR deserve their slots

people upset about DRX, MIBR, and TH qualifying are dumb af

Champions is supposed to be a showcase of the best teams of the entire year and the truth is all three teams were better than their counterparts for majority of the year. I mean what’s the point in it being a circuit if you just ignore everything from the past?

not to mention the points awarded literally scale greater throughout the year and there are 2 entire Cinderella slots open in Stage 2 to help low point teams. if your team didn’t make it that’s on them, should’ve played better

EDIT - You cannot defend anyone of these teams people will still excuse TH for being group merchants and going 5-0 which is impressive but how are you gonna defend Drx And mibr when one didn’t showed up at all the entire time and the other trolling just because their coach ego is so inflated that he didn’t care about his team wincon rather picks enemy maps and then got obliterated by RRQ

MIBR doesn't really deserve it, they only did good in stage 1 and even then they only got 3rd place.

TH does deserve it tho, they went 5-0 in both stages and got 2nd place on stage 1 (stupid curse again lmao but tbf fnc was unstoppable at that time) while yeah they had a really bad kickoff (and internationals) they compensated by playing really good on the last 2 stages and even then they barely qualified.

There are always going to be people complaining about one format, and there will always going to be people complaining about the other format. At the end of the day there is always somebody complaining.

I could agree, but they are some fact that I would express :

• H2H is the worst metric ever, especially since that can create some situation of, where if you would have loose a kickoff game you could have go to champs, and winning a specific kickoff game take you out.
• MIBR with a normal tiebreaker rule, would have been out
• We could give argument about the point system being a little bit weird, and with a really small change, we could have a GEN or a Talon in with how close this is

MIBR doesn't deserve their slot simply because VCT AMER use different tiebreaker compared to three other regions. That's far from consistency, that's just special treatment. Can't refers to consistency of a team when their qualification depends on the inconsistency of the system. Their slots have less legitimacy compared to TH and DRX.
