I mean regardless of how it wouldve come out without it the results speak for themself

Kaajak is more consistent whereas derke has higher peaks. Derke is more a hard entry and Kaajak is more of a traditional star player. They are both very good players, and I think Kaajak will come to be regarded as or nearly as highly in the coming years imo.

if anything it's the opposite, derke is more consistent while kaajak has higher peaks

I’m assuming you’re saying this because of the grand finals vs th? The thing about derke is he always has 2-3 games a tourney where he goes like 40-20 or 70-40 and then 2-3 games where he’s even or slightly negative. Kaajak is consistently good whearas derke fluctuates between good/avg and the best player in the world by far.

Honestly to me it's recency bias so we'll have to wait and watch.
The way I've seen it is that he's gotten better with more games and he's consistently heavy fragging. So not only is he currently more consistent but also showing super star performances.
I guess only more time will tell about this but I think Fnatic are super satisfied with the one for one replacement. Kaajak has more than justified the move so far

kaajak more consistent? derke was the best and most consistent fnc player right before they put him into the bench

I kinda hope Derke goes for another fake Yoru clone play after the one Kamo pulled in Toronto. To reclaim his bragging rights and all.

Right, and it needs to be on match point.

Izu also did one at bangkok against drx

I know but they were winning already. He already said he dared to ask for it because the were already ahead, if I recall correctly.

Those three examples are the only fake yoru clone plays I can recall.

Kaajak fit into Fnatic system well. Derke is a good pickup for Vitality. Kaajak was their best player in Stage 1, and Derke was their best player in Kickoff/Bangkok. In the end, both teams should be happy with their duelist and how they are performing. (Obviously Derke and Vitality had a lot of problems in Stage 1 but it is not due to the kind of player Derke is, or because he lacks in a certain area. They just need to figure out some shit as a team.)

good quetion would be how will derke look with whole new team now after changes in team and now getting new IGL

i thought kaajak would take at least both kickoff and stage 1 to adjust, if not the whole year.

i was dead wrong, fnatic were definitely the winner in this deal, so far.
derke most likely still has it in him and if vit can build a good enough roaster around him things might change.

Its been good for both honestly. Derke just needs to get functioning team and no doubt he still got it. While Fnatic took a risk with prospect but it worked. Honestly if anything this was big W for the region. Derke stayed in EMEA while under Fnatic Kaajak looks like great duelist and gets good experience/confidence.

kaajak is way better than derke
rookie finalist and performed well
if he had derke's experience he would be a top 3 duelist itw

Kaajak still makes a lot of mistakes as a rookie. We'll see how consistently he performs. He can top Derke if he does.

i think kaajak brings a fresh energy as well as a rookie which was much needed for fnatic after their last year

The level of stupidity of comparing a 5 year veteran to a new star is off charts.

im ngl i think that with time (not that long tbh, maybe even this year) kaajak will grow to be one of the best emea players oat.
so yes, i think that, obv its still derke, but kaajak was a good pickup and will end up being better than derke

different styles but kaajak is just better, Derke needs to evolve into taking more responsability and being more of a star player and not just a hard entry player to truly fulfill his potential, the move was good for both teams tbf
