Were Masters Madrid and Bangkok flukes or

are they simply just underappreciated?
How come SEN, who won Masters Madrid last year, were never serious contenders for “the best team of 2024”? See, every VCT content creator I’ve watched had GENG as the best team in 2024, which is fair, and it also makes sense for them to consider EDG a top 3 team in 2024. What I don’t understand is why would majority (if not all) of professional analysts have TH (who won NOTHING last year) as the second/third best team in 2024 when 2024 SEN exists? You know, a team that actually won masters AND a regional? Even something more ridiculous, I’ve seen LEV receive more praise than SEN did last year.

Same for T1 - they won Bangkok, yet nobody considers them to be “the best team in 2025 so far” - it’s G2, for some retarded reason. And, just like it happened with SEN, I seriously doubt T1 will be in discussions for the best team in 2025 after Champs end. Why? No team has stayed consistent throughout the year, always bombing out either in Masters or Champs, yet people pretend like the first Masters of the year doesn’t even exist.

Only real fluke is Optic 2022.

It's because SEN basically fell off right after madrid, and geng kept there stance for one more lan and the dub and TH were basically just chokers but they did made a back to back final

People simply weigh events higher the later in the year they go. Sen dropped off and didn't attend Shanghai, only reaching champs because of champs points (they lost to 100t in playoffs) and looked pretty awful from stage 1 - stage 2 playoffs. They weren't good a majority of the year.

But Sen Came Back Strong in Champs and Looked Pretty Good in Champs as Well

Lets See if T1 does the same

if t1 doesnt do what sen did in champs their run is more fraudulent then any masters/champs winning team. they have the time to fully lock in for champs
