Don't yall sometimes get tired of trying to get the best scores, but you know your pride won't let you so you gotta lock in and get that 95%+ or am I the only one

in high school when i was actually a top student it was less about pride and more "if i don't get good grades i won't get into a good college"

once i got into a good college i started giving less of a shit about how good my grades were

Same, I have been not putting enough effort and been getting 87% - 93% instead of 95% - 98%, seems small but it is a big difference

Yeah I was like that in junior high, but now I'm in university I couldn't care less about the score as long as I don't fail or it's way too low. I'd rather spent days on textbook even if that means I'm getting lower score

I'm carried by the AP curve in my classes because getting a 5 is so easy but a 95+ in every class isn't always reasonable to do during the school year

but like it is lowkey aura during the award ceremony and your name is called multiple times for being the best in multiple courses, my goal was 4 for the next ceremony

imperfect grades are passable, even necessary, during the year, it allows for more time to focus on actually developing meaningful ecs, that's what a lot of people don't get (also it's too expensive for me to go anyways 🥲)

I stopped worrying about score and more about enjoyment and my grades went up. Nothing below a 90 in a year an a half

i used to only put in the bare minimum but uni's kinda challenging, mostly cause i actually have to manage my time now. I dont really wanna have the mindset that i js wanna pass or hope the instructor curves the class

i got to be a top student in high school, since then i never try my best in academic ever again. i chose to be lazy instead.
i got avg points and avg graduation time in college.

Top student in high school as well but as I went through college and University I realized this burnout and mental health deteriorating was really not worth all the hassle to be stuck with my peers going job hunting since the work economy is pretty fucked anyways and I would have to go for a job that aint even my major in the first place, so I slowly just stopped caring about being the top and just decided to be average and I've been happier than ever
