I like the game but dont like ranked

Are there any ways to play this game in a competetive fashion without being on a team or shit like that?

I am quite annoyed with ranked atm, I comm, try to keep up the mental and genuinely play pretty selflessly whilst putting up decent stats. Some lobbies just seem to get annoyed at me for trying to make jokes and enjoy the game with them.

apex has completely different mechanics though, would suggest cs but unplayable due to cheaters

yeah true, but it's a lot more fun IMO, you need one friend or two and you're set -- no more dealing with assholes for an entire hour

cheaters are a problem I hear about but haven't personally experienced while playing, pros always shit talk they game they play anyway

true but in most games they atleast play ranked. val pros play all the time, cs pros grind faceit etc, but apex pros dont even touch the ranked they only play scrims

Deathmatch, voltaic valorant aim benchmarks and mingods RAMP warmup. (I don't do aimlabs every time but I always dm before games) Also recently I have been doing 10 pushups for each bad spray. (Did 200 today xd)

what i realized is that you need to create your own enjoyment in soloq independent of just winning because you’re gonna be miserable otherwise

i basically just go into every game focusing on my micro and getting satisfaction from hitting clean shots and don’t really give a fuck about the general outcome (obviously i comm and try to win)

by detaching your emotions (as much as you realistically can) from winning or losing you tend to actually win more because of lack of tilt

Good mindset, I kinda have it. My main problem is not understanding why other people will be toxic or blame others because of their own.mistakes. I try to overcome it rationally but more often than not my brain just gets stuck on that shit and I start performing poorly.

yeah it helps to remember valorant playerbase is really young. sometimes kids will just be weird for no reason but it just reminds me of myself being a shithead in cs lobbies like 10 years ago and i just accept it LOL

helps to just have a zero tolerance policy and insta mute if they’re weird. i’ll unmute after a few rounds just to check and usually they’ve chilled out
