(possibly going to be 1.7 mil by tomorrow after updated stats)

average viewership of 670k , which after considering this was the shortest event in a long time, still outperforms the rest, even champions!
Valorant is only growing, add chinese stats to this as well and we so up.

and the most important part of it is, valorant has consistently seen a rise of viewership since 2021, we always grow, no matter whether the most popular team plays or not, the growth may not always be significant, but its always there.

One day we will be in the same bracket as League of Legends!

I don't see it.
The biggest valorant fanbases have traditionally been BR/NA (JP is big but they are not competitive enough to make a grand finals).
The timezone for shanghai and champions would not be great for either regions.

Madrid is super high due to sentinels overwhelming popularity.

just see the trend. masters shanghai will underperform in terms of stats no matter what time zone.

it may be true that madrid was super high because of sentinels, we also need to look at the fact that it was geng they were playing against, the least clouted team entering this event (bar fpx)

optimistically speaking loud sentinels fnatic prx, and if kc actually get good(international finals level good), they'll bring in more fans then we can imagine

No, if you look at the kickoff viewership, you can clearly see a large increase in every single regions viewership.

EMEA Pacific Americas all had significant growth, and not everyone had sen.

Also considering none of the events last year were in Europe, thus no tournament had good timezones when they were played.

Add all these factors and my argument sounds more strong

sure but the fact its this high is like 80% sentinels,also u cant compare kick off viewership to the whole league that lasted like months especially when riot tried to milk the wiewership with the free watch party rights,we had all the big cc's watch partying all regions for the first time,lets see how much the regular season games get now compared to 2023 then u can see the real growth,val had its lwest wiewership since 2020 just befre this seasn including all off seasons before but u think now suddenly it just had a massive growth spurt out of nowhere,that is delusional if anything when u can literally see sen carried the wiewership in all games,even sen vs kc averaged higher than prx vs loud and gen g vs prx in playoffs

cs has an issue that the last 7 major finals have been 2-0 sweep.
