So the 3 points won mean that Sentinels will head into a split in April with essentially 3 match wins? And that each match won in split will have 1 point? Is that it?

yes. it actually is a lot of points and if sen do decent in splits they most likely qual for champs
these points are for champions
so basically any team who wins their regional league or masters gets 3 points
each match a team wins in masters = 1 point
so teams with most points from each region at the end will qualify for champions

what about masters? Does one match win there also means 1 point or no?
WhatADrag [#4]what about masters? Does one match win there also means 1 point or no?
Yes

damn thats a bummer for teams that didnt make it. Just 2 teams from each region in masters where 1 match win gets you 1 point. that an L format
WhatADrag [#4]what about masters? Does one match win there also means 1 point or no?
it might not as the announcement said a point for each win in stage 1 and 2 but to me it’s unclear if the masters are in stage 1 and 2
Diebs [#5]so there is no lcq this time?
Nope just point system and if Sen don't do too bad they should be fine as they have 3 point lead

no split 1 and 2 have points, masters shanghai and madrid have points and madrid qualifiers have points. These 3 points are massive considering how competitive americas is, regardless of even int events

i understand you get 3 points for winning an event but idk if you get a point for each win in masters

pretty sure you do, thats the main incentive for winning a masters

winning the masters giving 3 points makes sense but i don’t think they would give a point for each win in masters because shanghai will prob have a group stage and they might earn more points than the teams skipping it

Sorry I dont really understand? You get points if you win masters, there are 2 masters so 2 ways to get points there. Then there are 2 splits, and each of those 2 give you points for winning . So, if you havent already gotten points like prx or Loud, then you only have 4 more chances to get points (if you qualified to Madrid), otherwise you only have 3 chances. The format is really snowbally and having an early advantage is key which is why our loss to geng sucks
