has announced the departure of Fikri "Famouz"
Zaki Hamdani.
Famouz leaves as a free agent after spending over three years with the team, with part of that time being as a stand-in during the team's 2022 APAC LCQ and Champions Istanbul campaign. The Duelist player has been on BOOM's inactive roster since the end of the team's 2025 VCT season, not competing at Pacific Ascension. In October, Famouz was unveiled as part of Team Secret's offseason roster, with the organization saying that it would "explore options for our duelist."

. He has primarily been a Duelist player throughout his career, with the majority of his games played on Raze and Jett. He has been a feared player throughout his career, recently logging the highest ACS in the group stage of Pacific Stage 1.
After starting league play with a 5-0 showing in the group stage, BOOM fell flat to close out the year, being eliminated two matches into the playoffs and then going 0-5 in Stage 2. In the team's seven-match losing streak in VCT, only one map was won. However, a top-eight finish in the Championship Point standings granted BOOM a chance at redemption at Pacific Ascension. After a 3-1 showing in the group stage, BOOM won its opening match of the playoffs to get one series away from securing another year in VCT, but lost 3-0 to
