Platchat and Chinese Valorant

I love platchat, I think they’re all quite funny, entertaining and knowledgeable about Valorant, except for Chinese Valorant
These guys at this point must be trying to avoid looking at anything Chinese Valorant related because it seems that week in week out they know nothing about the scene outside of Edward Gaming.
They’re live currently and doing a tier-list of all 44 franchised teams. In which saw them fumble around the Cn teams. Anyone who watched Cn val in 2023 understood there were 4 consensus top teams (edg, fpx, ra/jdg, te). Yet in their ranking they put blg and drg above fpx because I’m assuming the only Cn val they saw was ascension, a quick vlr search would show you the current standings of the Cn teams.
They even had a ranking from a guide to follow which had fpx in s Tier, yet they kept fpx in C. I assume the think it’s the same team from which they saw at champs cause they wouldn’t know any better.

This is long so I’ll put a tldr: why rank the Chinese teams, when you clearly don’t have any knowledge on them, or who’s on them, you just end up doing silly things.
And if you’re doing a tier list, do some research into the more unknown teams

I agree that 100t would smack ge, but the tier list was done by sideshow’s wacky way where basically given 100t were in the group of death they’d play minimum matches despite being good

tbf China teams are harder to rank due to various amount of transfer movement. Its more difficult to rank based on new roster untested performance.

Well as an Australian, I have an ungodly bias towards fpx, so that might taint things, but secondly, watching it, it seemed like they really did care about the Cn teams placements, they just had no idea how good they were, and that’s what annoys me

Alvi was saying that RyanCentral placed FPX in S tier when doing a CN tierlist, and if they used RyanCentral's tierlist, FPX should've been a B tier and not a C.

As much as I love Platchat ❤️ , I'm a CN Valorant follwer and I was on the verge of tears 😢 , begging for them to at least swap DRG and FPX🐲🐦 .

Also their discussions overrating TYLOO were so excruciatingly hard to listen to. I hope CN does well this year.

I don't think they follow cn region that much, don't have great idea of coaching structure in cn teams and players history. they definitely need a representative of the cn scene in the show.

I also think BLG will regain their Champions form back this year. Their Champions coach Jexen is back again and Rin is gone for good. I think B3ar will be a better replacement for Rin and Biank will unlock his full potential since he is no longer the IGL. But qualifying to Madrid will be difficult because EDG,JDG,FPX and TE are the strong favourites rn. But they may qualify to Shanghai or Champions.
