Well it only extended to 7 maps bc they were losing to a team with a completely new roster, coach is a downgrade from mce, new team so no chemistry, dropped their igl for vanity strats, dropped leaf for oxy (oxy is good but a downgrade for sure), and to top it all off had a content creator as a sub
Also, having a yr old team is not a bad thing. Fnc have chemistry and can work around each other's strengths and weaknesses
completely new is crazy 4/5 of the guys were on c9 previously for at least a full split and curry was an active pro who knew the team. They literally built the team out of previous members of the roster and got oxy in as duelist. fnc met their coach 1 week b4 the tourney started had a week to prac b4 the tourney to win all their games and somehow they're bad. 2-0 then 3-2 against franchised teams in a few hours after 1 working week of prac without having to innovate would b crazy for kc but when fnc do it they look bad. Your making it sound like they lost to a team of 4 slapped together na pros with PROD subbing in jus say fnc are goated.
remind me, what was the c9 roster before this current iteration? And remind me were those 4 players and coach all playing on the same team continuing to build there chemistry and cohesion together?

Obvs the level of teamwork wasn't close C9 got ruined. C9 watched fnc play breeze and ascent hours b4 only reason y they got those maps.
To answer ur first question C9 previously leaf, xeppa, zellsis, runi and jakee but b4 that they had leaf, xeppa, curry, mitch and vanity in late 2022 and that iteration of the team was considered to 3 na with xset and opitc the match play played against c9 had the core of the 2022 iteration which had played a full season together.
Ur second question is weird because 1 C9's roster last year had 5 players, I meantioned that 4/5 of the players at this tournament were previously on the starting roster because that means the roster isnt completely new (5/5 players who had never been on the roster is completely new). 2 fnc didn't start practicing again until late October a week b4 the tournament like I said C9 confirmed their roster 29/09 and started playing off season matches b4 fnc even confirmed their coach so if anyone should be "continuing to build there chemistry and cohesion together" its C9 fnc had been off for a month. And abt the no star thing i made this account like 2 days ago I'm now to vlr and i see why it gets its reputation.

Your trying to insinuate that despite winning fnc going 5 maps against C9 is humiliating and they should've cleared them every map like they hard prepped for this tourney and super tryharded the whole way thru.
3-2 doesn't tell the whole story that's y u have to actually watch the games and understand the context b4 getting in a thread to judge peoples opinions via digital stars. idagaf how many stars I have btw idek what they mean or how to get them.
The copium is crazy. I didn't even say half the stuff you are insinuating I said I just think it's funny you are trying to claim how these players used to be on the org over a year ago, and even longer for some like curry, so that somewhow gives them chemistry as if they had been practicing together for months with the same strats, and same coach ideology, and same IGL ideology. Like you are reaching soooo much and when FNC clearly had the advantage in every way except that FNC had to play back to backs. FNC was able to Vod review the C9 games too. Vod reviewing takes longer than just watching the match live so while C9 did get a slight advantage with FNC playing back to back and being able to see what they ran against DRX def helped but it was not some in depth, broken down vod review bc there isn't enough time b4 the C9xFNC match. You could even make the argument that since FNC had overnight to VOD review after the C9 vs FUT game that they should have had an even better understanding of how C9 was gonna play on those maps than what C9 was able to take from the DRX match just before going into the finals.
Overall you have longer standing team with more chemistry/practice together, better roster on paper, and the best team in EMEA by FARRRRR going to map 5 against a bottom tier AMERICAS team that had a sub making their minimal amount of practice even less impactful. FNC are the better team I'm not saying they aren't I'm just saying I expected a lot better from them tbh.
Also the only 2 maps they lost were the ones they played against DRX hours b4. C9 basically got to watch how they play b4 the game started and those r the only maps they won. 13-8 13-5 13-7 on maps they couldn't antistrat live against fnc. the game was lowkey rigged against them in almost every way and they still won.
