like the ammount they need to spend is tiny compared to the other costs of running a sports team, and the potential gain is massive, think about how many kids would turn into fans of x team cuz they have tenz signed. ik psg and man city have teams but they have pretty trash players and only in like fortnite and mobile games

I think football clubs such as PSG, apparently schalke 04 and Galatasaray have esports teams. Gen.G recently partnered with oil money Manchester City, EG is partnered with Wolves but Wolverhampton wanderers are looking forward to starting their own team in China according to rumours

Making a sustainable profit is a pipedream for most esports orgs.

Hard to justify investing in that to shareholders or investors.

Also, I have a hard time believing this would make a difference for most football teams. The sport has been around for ever, if you were going to be a fan of it, I don't think esports is going to be the thing to get you into it.
