Can we appreciate franchising now?

Holy these games have been insane and it’s only groups

I understand the speculation, especially for the T2 scene but let’s take a minute to appreciate what will be the most competitive era of Valorant. I can only imagine how good these games would be in a meta where it isn’t smoke and spam.

yeah this tournament has proven that franchising raised the level up a notch

i don’t think NAVI have been playing worse than last year they’ve just been playing the same and they’re going out first

I agree

ANGE1 didn’t adapt at ALL they are still running comps that are getting hard read and the experimenting they did seemed pretty troll during the season. Isn’t just ANGE1 tho id say this is on the coach as well. Definitely isn’t a skill issue tho

No, because they gave shitmea 10 slots for some reason...

How am I the one confused? Franchising completely broke this region from the best to the worst...

what 10 slots are you talking about

Gee I don't know, maybe the 10 organizations in the emea league ?

Could drop fkn kcorp and give it to SA or NA. Most embarrassing ass team

#33

or you could think normally and give it to a org who knows what therye doing
lets put disguised, mad lions and turtle troop to Americas franchising and see if its competitive

Blud has no clue about franchising. Expected from NA

yeah... make the leagues have different number of teams just based on vibes

it was obvious that EMEA talent would be spread out- and frankly some of the orgs just have the most incompetent recruitment (Heretics, Karmine Corp, MAYBE Koi but frankly that looked like a good roster on paper)

that being said each league having a different number of teams would just be a pain in the ass, Karmine Corp simply existing in EMEA league literally doesn't affect the other leagues in ANY way lol

I'm not the only person who has this take. If you have eyes you will see how top heavy emea is. Not even just hating this is just facts

#23

Literally every region is top heavy. Pacific teams apart from T1,PRX,DRX and maybe TS are absolutely dogshit. Americas teams like MIBR, 100T,SEN,KRU,Leviatan are dog. EMEA teams like KC,KOI,TH and maybe BBL are dog

#36
Yistyy

Frags

Emea only has 2 teams that are good. Pacific has 4-5 good teams. Americas also has 6 teams that are good.

Weird of you to say that half of all the teams in franchising are "dogshit" when even the mid tier teams in Americas and pacific play at a higher level than the bottom 7 emea teams

Also I don't know why you single me out as toxic when there are many users who have expressed this take too.

People are complaining about orgs picking up washed players, not the number of slots

#55

Same issue, the orgs are putting no effort in making their rosters competitive and just happy to get money from riot. A lot of these organizations shouldn't be in franchising when they don't care about the valorant scene at all

#58
6vine
2
Frags

That's not what you said before. The orgs in franchising are incompetent but that has nothing to do with slots. Kcorp and KOI would still be there if EMEA had 6 slots

Jesus, this guy is traumatized by EMEA that 99% of his posts are to shit on it.

aint no way you think 4-5 pacific teams are better than NAVI lmao
Edward are about to 2-0 T1 too

realistically rn, if I have to be especially generous to the Americas to not sound biased, the 'good' teams are TL, FNATIC, DRX, PRX, EG, NRG, LOUD, C9

Real effect of franchising will take place next year...
When all real good player will start to accumulate in franchised orgs... Rather than being spread in T2s

Then we can say Franchise is totally Tier1

#11
blazennn
1
Frags
+

it still is

there will always be players that deserve T1 but are in T2 that’s just how it goes. As time goes on we will see it gradually get better and better of course but this isn’t a bad start.

#20

No not as much as it is in this year... There are many many terrible teams(players in the team) which should be instantly removed ... Dfm, kru, kc, TH, even more ...
League should also be competitive....
9-0, 8-1 or 0-9, 1-8 should be the last case to happen in League..

#27

Frags

I think dominant teams will forever be a thing but I do agree with teams being way weaker than they could be.

I don’t think instantly removed just need to rework the rosters and adapt. Maybe TH they dropped their only good player anyway

yeah reducing the number of spots and giving incentives to invest has led to a talent squish in every region into a few top teams. I still think it could be better in EMEA and Pacific where there's too many teams with old players that should've been replaced by those currently playing in T2 (i.e. sScary, a lot of BOOM players, Kadoom, a lot of Turkish players, Enzo and more)

#31
blazennn
0
Frags

if i’m not mistaken sScary chased the bag that Bleed threw at him which why wouldn’t he make that money.

#37
queueK

yeah. I just think that either Bleed should've been in franchising or that a franchised organization should've matched Bleed's offer.

#43
blazennn

Frags

matching Bleeds offer would be INSANE let’s not forget they offered Yay 1M imagine how much they offered him their current star player

I think they should of gave them the spot though, one of the richest orgs who gives a fuck where the money comes from

#9

not for EMEA. riot letting those shit nonames orgs picking up dogshit noname players

#17

they aren’t adapting to meta

Americas have LOUD to shape comps off of and adapt

Pacific is constantly adapting in different ways and im really impressed by T1

Meanwhile NAVI didn’t try to adapt what so ever and the same can be said about FUT. I hope FNC and TL got their note pass out because they gonna need to make some changes if they want to win it all.

Franchise is good for the international events but holy shit the leagues are not competitive

#22

Americas is decently competitive

Pacific is more competitive than its made out to be

EMEA… need to be watching LOUD vods and copying team comps because the shit they are running just isn’t working. As a whole no team had really been practicing double smoke which is SO meta rn. Along with some other minor changes they have the talent to do well

still wish we had relegation, though.

can karmine corp, KRU, detonation (as much as I love them) either git gud or go T2 please god

#29

true, but that can also lead to unstable orgs like the guard coming into franchising

yea definitely, me too. ideally it should be like the premier league, hopefully after this first 4-5 year cycle, we get something like that

hopefully there will be a lot of roster moves after champs and a lot of rosters could be rebuilt just like last year. also next year we get actually 2 splits with a real transfer window so its not gonna be as messy as this year
