Just curious, why did DRX play him the entire regular season jst to go with Zest in playoffs?

IMO, his loose playstyle is exactly what a team like DRX needs that choke when their setplays don't work anymore. People are forgetting something literally dropped 6 kills in a map against DRX when foxy9 was playing.

You do realize beating PRX you show 1 game of Strats 1 month before the event, while going through groups it's showing 2 or 3 games of strats AT the event right?

less maps they put zest in for 2 bo5 thats 10 maps and at minimum 6 maps tokyo would be minimum 4 maps max 9 maps

Bruh, I hope you don't actually think someone would actually do that. 2 things tho
1st, they were already in the finals with Zest, which means at that point it's not 2 bo5's to make it to Tokyo playoffs, it's 1
2nd Teams have 25 maps worth of VODS from DRX in the past 2 months and a half. 10 more does not make a difference, 4-9 games DURING the event does make a difference. You run out of secret cards to use in playoffs

I literally see no other reason to bench foxy9 they probably don't want to show some maps that they literally haven't played with foxy9 ex. Lotus in a bo5 where you may have to show every map in your book maybe they have new stuff

They played Zest because foxy9 choked and they thought they would do better with Zest, which it turned out being true since DRX got 11 rounds in 2 maps against PRX with Foxy9. It's not any deeper than that

so they change the roster 90% of the way through playoffs with completely different roles, and with the roster that they haven't been prac'ing with at all the last 10 weeks got it

It literally didn't they got reverse swept and got pushed to a fifth map by t1 also they have been playing with foxy9 all the way up to until t1 lower bracket game I don't see how they would have had much time to prac with him the most they would have gotten is 5 days and thats not a lot

Zest has been in the team for 2 years, I'm pretty sure he knows the team. But anyway, did termi also explain why they subbed him in then?

Have you seen his games? He's younger and a bit of a wildcard, but his peaks far outclass anything I've seen from zest.

Zest was literally such a big factor for them getting the 2 maps they got in the finals AND the win against T1, you might look at stats and say zest bad foxy good but zest does way more for the team than foxy can

towards end of 2022 there was criticism of Buzz not being the ideal Jett that DRX wanted, and he's better off playing KJ instead. Also looking at Global Contract Database Buzz is the only one with contract ending in 2024 whilst everyone else ends in 2026 so guessing they wanted to sign a prospect Jett (foxy9) that is capable of being in starting roster whilst at the same time being a 6th player because THE new player would be discipline enough to not be a REBEL to the team core players.

Are PRX running new strats with something on the team? Because that might contribute to prx owning everybody in the playoffs. It's not really relevant but maybe zest would have helped the team to adapt more to prxs new playstyle and that's why they subbed him in after they rolwd all over dex with foxy9 on the team.
