Why are high hs% players so unsuccessful?

Myssen from Havan Liberty, Aleksandar from Evil Geniuses, Aproto from Luminosity, Zander from Version 1, all players with an absurd hs% rate that haven't won anything

Aleksandar never qualified to VCT Main Event
Aproto just got team diffed whenever he was close to winning
Myssen only qualified to Berlin because his team was running 3 initiators (never seen before strat in Brazil) and no one knew how to counter it, once they faced a tean that did, they got absolutely folded
And I don't know what the fuck is up with Zander, people overrate him because of the V1 vs SEN match but really zander is a mid player

Only one that has proven himself is Scream, who is already a legend on CS due to his massive HS rate, and is the only player out of these 4 that is currently on a franchised team

in pro hs% isnt as significant a statistic since everyone can hit their shots in pro

also bang is another exception

Bang, Scream, pANcada, and maybe a few more that don't come to mind rn

But why are these other players not picked up by franchised teams? They have immense potential to be explored

in NA at least, its kinda hard for players like aleksander and aproto to compete when all of the XSET and OpTic players are up for grabs. You could make a case for the brazillian scene but i don't know enough about it to properly dispute it. Also imo zander is on the best ascension team rn just in terms of pound for pound firepower

Meanwhile BCJ is cracked with a really low HS%

I mean players could play a thousand games, and get one kill and it be headshot and the percentage is 100%
Its not that important because it has nothing to do with their impact

Well, you could have 2 kills and have a 50% HS rate, so that comes into account -- are they getting many kills?

Plus, HS% is really just a small piece of a bigger story; pro play takes a lot of skills into account, raw mechanics just being one of them.

Look at these player's gameplay and compare them to a more successful pro player (who plays their same agent pool), you'll start seeing key differences in their decision making, clutch ability, timings, etc.

Tried to sound smart but said the dumbest shit 💀
if you get 2 kills in a match and you dont even have 100% hs in that game you should just quit the game honestly + those players he talked about are constantly being the mvp except for aleksandar, i really like that guy but damn dude is total shit in every agent except kayo

I just stated how percentages work, why are you so upset about it? Plus, dumbshit, MVP is based off of kills, which do not mean a good performance.

So no, you just think high kills = good pro player, which isn't true. Educate yourself.

Im not upset, im just saying what you said is dumb as fuck. Noone in a pro match is getting 2 kills with 50% hs. Literally its more possible to someone get an 10% hs game with 30 kills than that.
And i literally never said anything about high kills = good player,.its just a fact that most good aim players are mvping, which happens to be the highest kills in the match most times

dawg you do realize that phantom, op, and pistols exist correct? plus a lot of util damage counts as body or leg damage which skews HS percentage. you are so mad and for what lmfao.

Phantom is literally easier to have higher hs% because its 2 shots to the head, pistols the same thing except for the sheriff and others you just use in pistol rounds.
Utility has nothing to do with hs% and players who play OP people dont care about it, that just means you're an op abuser and there is higher chances to you be dogshit with rifles, which is very common in immortal/asc
Yall are just stupid and cant understand a simple text lmao, and i literally expressed 0 anger. vlr users are so soft holy 💀

you don't even know how the game works, utility does affect HS% 💀 Raze nades and util count as body damage

100 IQ looking ass, as I said, educate yourself

Its not that hard to accept that hs% actually matters in most cases. But its true that other things matter more and thats why players like aleksandar arent in a good team

HS% is such a fake stat.
Shooting through smokes, walls etc is a key part of valorant and will decrease the %.
Mainly because you dont spray at head level as its far more unlikely to land shots

Headshot % doesn't mean much in valulrant kkkkk

All the players whom you listed have an absurd HS rate because they go for HS on purpose, even if it takes a lot of time for them to aim perfectly.

If you want to know the real HS Vandal gods, who kill fast and don't try to be cool for clips - ex-Gambit, ex-FPX guys. These aim naturally. Not artificially.

I played dms vs sheydos and it was just insta one tap in every duel, scream is probably similar to that, also soulcas is like that

Everyone in pro play has a base line of mechanics that similar across the board. Some people are slightly better than others but the good players stand out cuz they have good positioning and play the team coordination exceptionally well.

Because is not an individually meaningful statistic for a professional

Zander isn't overrated because of the SEN vs V1 match... Zander looked like one of the best controllers out there in Split 1...sadly he could not replicate that performance again

The question is more, "Why are those players unlucky? They are, without a doubt, not the only unlucky players in the world scene. And there are other, equaly important statistics to judge the skill of players in question etc.
The guys you mentioned vary in the HS% 30s and below... whilst around 30% is regarded high in pro matches but not the highest highs... imo there are plenty of pros in that region aswell and those pros win games/play in better teams +in better orgs, if you will, and so on.In general, HS% is more of an efficiency indicator of impact through kills in the game than a merely judge kind of one of the player's skill; and should be compared to total kills in the game (as indicated by several comments above) to create a more complete picture. For example, add first bloods and you can see how influential a duelist is on a team... of course, deaths and assists should not be overlooked, etc.
In addition, if you notice any similarities in various statistics, you might devise a formula, a ratio that relates HS% to other statistics(and there are many), or even testing its correlation. It's only that we haven't seen anything other than KAST and other formulas +typically given clutch ratios and so on, nor have we seen any type of research on the topic in Valorant. Yet, it's always interesting to see such analyses;)
