IGL drought !!!

Can we talk about how there is a lack of up and coming IGLs in NA region? All the good IGLs are like 40yrs old and don't shoot back. I understand that you get better with experience but you also get older so your mechanics isn't that great, it's a give and take situation. But it's quite upsetting that there's not very many young IGLs that you can bet on for a franchised team. Valyn and may be Zander but that's it!

Is it the same in EU? I mean legacy orgs like TL, G2 etc has struggled to find a good IGL for a long time!

valyn zander stellar, vanity is also young(but experienced). i think that's a pretty good enough pool of igls considering only 5 slots to fit in anyways

how tf do i get both comments, one pretending to understand my comment as if i wrote all are experienced igl and one dude saying i shouldnt put vanity here when i clearly mentioned he is established but still young so got years in this scene. vlr aint a sane place for arguement

I feel as thought a lot of times players don't necessarily start as IGLs tho, I believe Scream started IGLing after Link left so sometimes that role is just given to an experienced player

NA has the largest amount of good NA igls imo just bc u haven't heard of them or they haven't gotten the best of results doesn't mean they don't exist

Is there? In my opinion it's kind of the opposite. EU's peak igls are probably better than Na's, I'd probably take Ange1 Redgar Bonecold Boaster Koldamenta over FNS dephh Valyn Stellar and Vanity. On the other hand, NA has Zander, Stellar, Valyn, Johnqt, Boostio, and there are a lot of guys in T2 like Trick, Paincakes, and Runi who seem to be on the come up. In EU it seems like Boo(who isn't really young I think he's vanity's age) and then like Foxie and Hearthbeat from T2 but after that I can't really think of anyone.

I mean that is the problem with IGLs overall. Really little, because you usually need a lot of pre existing experience and really small amount of people want to sacrifice individual performance just so they could IGL. It rarely is role people just want to be. Usually people are just pushed into it. Need many abilities that most players just don't have. Not only do you still need to be in small % of players in terms of individual skill but you also had to have good leading skills, understanding of game, ability to think and have good work ethics etc.
