NA slots

My fellow NA viewers, we’re sharing a league with SA now it’s only fair half the slots go to each region. If you want more NA teams, instead of trying to shit on BR and LATAM, I think you should take issue with the amount of slots per league. If you’re all so set on 6 NA teams why isn’t the argument “there should be 12 teams” so both get 6 instead of wanting to cuck BR and LATAM.

LATAM = Brazil/Mexico/Chile/Argentina/Colombia/Dominican Republic/Costa Rica/Guatemala/Uruguay

More than fair :)

many USA teams probably going to make it big through the “Asencion” thing anyways yea?

Yes, the best teams are going to be playing on NA rankeds and scrimming against them so LATAM will be the worst.

Americans should stop crying and work on that. If they truly deserve it they can get up to 9 spots

Do you know how Valorant franchising works? There will be 14 teams with time

10 slots is awful for 3 regions

should have been like 16 minimum

T2 scene is gonna be dead asf

you are complaining that NA t2 gonna be dead, just think about LATAM and BR scene, all good teams gonna be in USA cause of the league t2 NA scene will practice with everyone in the Americas league while t2 LATAM and BR scene will have nobody to scrim with

Damn that is a really good point, all the top talent will flood to NA because the league is taking place in LA. Man that really is bad for the tier 2 scene of LATAM and BR. Hopefully they’re not effected too drastically by it and are still competitive. It’d be super boring if the ascension system is dominated by NA

NA T2 is sitting on gold, just imagine the scrims with LOUD, KRU, LEVIATAN, and a bunch of other players that they could not face cuz they didn't have the level or money. Just getting exp from different regions and styles of play, LATAM, and BR that should be worried not NA.

ain't that valuable considering the fact that current faze clears all of them

not rly because have u seen all the T2 teams moving away from valorant? All the teams that don't make it to franchising won't have any orgs backing them up because y would they? They have no reason to back up a team with a bleak future.

will be 14 within a few years standard.

Tier 2 will be fine with Challengers regional leagues and ascension tournaments.

Based take. I think a lot are forgetting that t2 actually looks insanely good and isn’t something that’s just been forgotten. I’m sure Riot will extend the slots after some time right?

i mean the ascension system exists but idk how healthy that will be

I’m hoping it’ll be really healthy and competitive but again, we haven’t seen how it’s going to play out so only time will tell. Although like I said previously below I think after getting through the first year of partnership it’ll give us a good indicator of how things will pan out for the foreseeable future.

Hopefully, the ascension system is a cool idea but teams only securing a spot for 2 years is kinda meh. Hopefully we get more permanent teams and the leagues grow with the scene

Yeah the whole 2 years thing is kinda mid but I think it’ll force a lot of these smaller orgs to look for investors and if Riot does extend the league if they’ve done well qualling through ascension and doing well throughout the year look at partnership. This is all down the line talk of course. Once we get through I reckon the first year of partnership it’ll give us a good indicator where the future will lean towards.
