We have the most good teams and our region is very deep but the talent is too spread out and our best teams arent as good (outside of FPX, they are the best in the world imo, so we have become a 1 team region). While other regions improved their rosters we have kept teams that dont work and have big flaws because of early sucess when other regions outside of EU and NA were shit.

  • FPX: best team itw
  • Fnatic: 2 man army, shit coach and shit igl
  • Liquid: braindead players, no igl since more than 1 year, roles dont make sense, nivera doesnt play the game and hasnt improved at all since his first match, only serious players in that roster are jamppi and dimasick.
  • Guild: Good team but Yacine and Russ played too much among us... HOW CAN YOU EVEN THINK OF TAKING RUSS WHEN BUILDING THIS TEAM AT THE START OF THE YEAR? They could have been world champions, the other 4 players are great, they have good igl and coach
  • M3C: stupid role changes, why not kick deffo earlier when he is bot?, just get purp0 instead of jady, you need a duelist and chronicle isnt one lmao
  • Acend: What is this? Their roster doesnt make sense and cned cant play the game anymore, jett onetrick, starxo and monster only good players there, also why kick zeek? also why make him play smokes?
  • G2: Why keep avova, meddo and mixwell? They are tier99 players, you are wasting hoody and nukkye potential, also sign an igl ffs, get one from csgo if needed

We need to be self-aware, our top teams outside FPX are complete dogshit filled with paycheck stealers and shit igls, truth is harsh, we fell off so bad, I still believe we have the best players and some incredible talents in tier2, so I hope we get rid of the paycheck stealers before next year and hopefully dont sign t2 bums like Guild did with russ. Give a chance to players like al0rante, cender, baddyg, fit1nho, russz, twisten, wolfen, vo0kashu, chiwawa, purp0, etc...

true, he was a vlogger for a league team, how can you expect to win titles with a vlogger extier99 csgo semipro as your igl? you need veterans like ange1 or people who are actually smart not a 90iq subhuman like boaster

they looked clueless in copenhagen
they look clueless now with months of prep
100T with way less time had way better mid round calls and set plays

Bcoz 100T was better today. 1 loss means nothing. Watch them wreck the rest of the group. Can't believe I'm having to support YOUR team for you

100T played well, but for real some of fnatic's ideas were horrendous

weird from you to assume they have ideas

they at least have the classic
derke and alfa go kill, I go throw

100T wasnt better, Fnatic was just the worse between 2 shits, both teams arent gonna do shit against the likes of prx, loud, optic or fpx, fnatic made will look like the best player in the world hahaha, if fnatic stopped crapping their pants and just played it simple and let alfa and derke some space, they would have won on firepower alone

Fnatic doesnt even clear angles or play the game fundamentally well, ffs they dont even have the basics right, they always do the same thing kinda like drx, when they are being executed on they just leave site and play retake or hide in a corner instead of holding offangle or trying to get the kills holding the smoke, they take no risks ffs they just to not lose, seems they are scared to lose their job

all good, big money orgs will make superteams in franchising cherry picking the best players

I hope but you never know, some teams will keep personalities like boaster instead of getting a good igl and others will keep their friends like liquid with nivera and scream, they want to play together but nivera is a similar player to jamppi and scream is a baiter duelist who cant play more than 2 and a half agents

There were some terrible decisions from emea teams this year tbh, hoping when franchising hits managements make good rosters

ScreaM got lucky clutch on Icebox 11-11, else it would've been 2-0 to M3C and likely a Champs slot to M3C

Fnatic... Weird team. Nothing to say, in Stage 2 they looked pretty good, in Stage 1 they fluked

#13

they looked pretty good because they had 1 week to prepare for each map lmao and also honeymoon period they were very confident because of alfajer, m3c should have qualified to champs, liquid just fluked them m3c are way better

That's it. Had teams played 2 games every week like in CSGO, 3/5 Fnatic players and coach would lose their jobs

#28

totally, if this was an open circuit with constant tournaments teams like fnatic, drx and also prx would be jobless, they dont try to play the game fundamentally well, they dont even have the basics right, they just either hope their best players kill 30 every map or do some cheese strats

This. Most EMEA teams have always missed that final piece. Even when Gambit was on top their duelist role was clear problem. Hopefully this will get fixed for next year and I really really hope orgs actually spend the money to build super rosters.
Just think of fantasy teams like M3C +7ssk7, Fnatic +Leo and hoody/sheydos, Guild +nukkye or hoody/sheydos, TL +Koldamenta or Redgar, NaVi +nAts, Redgar, sheydos/Chronicle etc. Many of them are unlikely, but damn would these already decent teams get upgraded.

Agree but 7ssk7 isnt that good imo, also fnatic needs an igl and coach, I would sign onur and let him develop whoever his chooses as an igl, he has developed 2 great igls in kru and leviatan, he is one of the most knowledgable coaches out there and he actually knows how to teach his ideas, his teams play simple and direct valorant but with incredible fundamentals and basically no mistakes, not flashy but fundamentally flawless

Fnatic doesn't have to replace Boaster or Mini tho. And 7ssk7 is good when in form. He has been inconsistent in the past, but he put up nice performances during Stage 2 and LCQ. At least he is better and more proven than d3ffo or purp0. And also need to remember that he was playing on NaVi that had problems of their own. He could perform well in roster that has better support players.

there is literally no deep talent pool in emea because cs sucks up all the real good players or those with a lot of ambition because they have no reason to switch ,there is tons of potential insane players but they all grind cs only the bottom of the skill pool overall is switching to val expect those who left because of restrictions like jamppi, sayf, leo etc,in a lot of regions a lot more good players in cs switched compared to eu because of how dead their scene was

#31
idkbro

and even then we are the best region in terms of talent pool, if most cs players switched the top10 best teams in the world would all be european but even now we have some insane players and we have the most amount of top players no doubts

EU is fine it's only 2 losses by teams that will still probably make it out of groups not a big deal.

Thats not the point, this is an structural problem in our team from 1 year ago and because of not fixing these problems we are now paying the price

thats why I made this post lol, I believe we have the best players but our rosters dont make sense role wise, lack leadership and its chaos

not EU valo fan but they are doing fine, I have no expectation from TL but Fnatic and FPX can make out of groups and FPX have better team than FNC

This isnt fine at all, losing to 100T and Leviatan is a shame, our standard should be higher

some of my thoughts:

  1. major IGL drought for whatever reason, idk, none of the talented youngsters want to lead a team, most current tier2 IGLs are washed

  2. a lot of uk cs players infiltrated all the big tier1 orgs to paycheck steal early when valorant released (liquid + fnatic for example). respectfully (not trying to hate), uk culture for esports is one of the worst of all european countries, major overconfidence and complacency, slightly lower work ethic.

  3. top 3 IGLs emea are ange1, redgar and kolda. after that its like a wasteland.

true, good thing is that starxo is finally being converted into an igl, its incredible how there is a lack of igls and players like him who have great understanding of the game and are natural leaders dont try to become igl, if you become a top igl in valorant atm you will have a job in tier1 for next 5 years

It's time for the champions title to go to more deserving regions who have figured out how to build super teams. I have a feeling that even during the franchising era, EMEA teams will remain virtually with the same rosters and potential roster shuffle era will end up amounting to lacklustre change.

Problem is not in the rosters, is in approach of the most teams imo. Looks like a lot of teams in this region overfocusing on being innovative and creating new crazy meta shit and their focus from fundamentals things kinda down

In reality almost any combination of agents can work if your fundamentals are good enough (FPX,OPTIC and PRX can prove my point)

Imo the reason of EMEA domination in Champions 2021 was that teams from EMEA just had more firepower, not really the best strats or other things. When other regions made their own superteams with the competitive amount of firepower EMEA teams fell off, because they either were outaimed or superteams from minor regions had better fundamentals.
