• made playoffs but lost against m3c and fpx

So the thing that really happened was that fnatic g2 fpx grabbed acend and then smashed him from everywhere then when they were on the ground they met m3c and those 2 became close friends since then

stage 1 they didnt adapt to the new chamber meta and had a very shit map pool , couldnt play anything other than split / bind and they were horrible on fracture and they also had permaban as haven
stage 2 they made roster changes and made it out of groups but lost to fpx and m3c , looked overall way better but still not enough to qualify

Stage 1 they had a lot of problems, ranging from adjusting to new metas and personal problems within the team. their igl had a different idea of the team, certain players weren't putting up the same numbers as last year or weren't having enough impact and they ended up needing a stand in which did not help them.

Stage 2 they did better, looked relatively promising in group stage but as playoffs rolled around it seemed they'd already hit their peak and started faltering. maybe you could put it down to 2 new players who haven't played in a t1 environment (as far as I know) and I think there was many other internal problems still carrying on from the previous stage which is causing them to have another roster change for LCQ.

I think it's worth mentioning EMEA challengers, and the regional challengers stage in general, is incredibly competitive. many of the teams in it we didn't see for the entirety of last year at LANs or missed out on many. not even beginning to mention how Valorant's meta is constantly changing, this is not the same game as it was 1 year ago. We have yet to see a team win 2 LANs and have only had 2 teams manage to make 2 GFs, it's super hard to stay on top of this game

Yo u know what happened to the guard? Role shuffle, bad chemistry for some reason, its basically that. Except acend won champs so they had to make roster changes. All their players are crazy good, except for the unknown 5th so they can get back in champs form and go crazy.

1. they failed to adapt to chamber meta, and cned had hard time on it
2. zeek mental issues
3. they got rid of bonecold for "difference in vision". leaving them with no real IGL. they picked up vakk in hopes he can IGL but he couldnt really, or at least needs way months of practice and experience for it.
4. other teams got way better like fnatic, fpx and guild

6. after getting rid of bonecold, zeek, kiles, they didn't really have a solid core anymore. a core is made up of 3 players 99% of the time so the team has good synergy and the players know each other.

i also think a lot of this comes from bad team management personally but idrk what is happening inside the team
