You're getting alot of unnecessary hate, but I'll break it down for you.
Fnatic only had 7 or 8 days to prep with these subs. The problem is that when you don't have your regular core, everyone plays differently and alot of previous preparation goes out the window.
It's not that the subs are bad players, they obviously know how to shoot. But it's the tactics and playstyle and tendancies that get affected.

Ignoring the perceived importance / lack of importance for seeding matches. Skipping groups totally is a bad idea, because it means a team could win more matches and still place lower than a team who was seeded higher but won 0 matches. On LAN at that. It's pretty stupid.

Riot internally know and plan many MONTHS in advance where they are going to hold an event. At this point, contracts are signed, commitments are made, money is exchanged, staff and things are allocated. Alot goes into hosting these events...
Expecting them to change the location after all of this is set in motion is unreasonable and ignorant. It's not that they're lazy. Thinking that they can just switch a location on the fly is plain silly and unfeasible dude. This business does NOT work like that.
