Imo G2 honestly don't react super well to aggressive teams, they just play back with strong defensive setups and avoid confrontation, then fight on their own terms. GENG playstyle has a lot of overlap with G2 in some ways, but G2 just has better coordination and protocols. If GENG tries playing them at their own game they lose most of the time. GENG are an aggressive team, but compared to teams like modern T1 and PRX, they don't nearly have the same kind of aggression IMO.
PRX are a team that thrives on catching teams off guard with aggression. They don't play discipled postplants which G2 are used to countering. The will nearly always fight up in aggro positions to catch timings on retakers. G2 has protocols for retake counterplay on offensive but PRX will take fights before the G2 can even get to these comfortable positions in postplant. In short PRX play to break enemy defensive and offensive setups before they can even start taking effect. They are the best rapid teamfighting team in the world. G2 have good teamplay but it is much much more methodical and much less aggressive in comparison.
This is also exactly why G2 thrived in the tejo meta but ultimately fell to T1. T1 played similarly to Paper Rex by taking fights on defense before spike plants and fighting up vs retakes.
